It's been known for years that they come apart. If you want, have at it. There's no shortage of horror stories about them. You have been warned.

That’s my hometown paper, that story 40 years old. I do know they can fall apart. I’m not here revving my engine to 7k either. If they were that bad you’d think they wouldn’t be allowed to sell them still.

I have no problem running the fans you posted, I ran them for years and actually have one on my car now. They are a quality built piece and do not worry me, now the other junk I stay away from. Truthfully I don't like any mechanical fan on my car, not because of power gains or losses etc., but it's nice to have no fan to work around. The plan is contour fans at some point.

Just a question ,
Why is everyone so against a flex fan ?
( other than being sharp edged )
Asking for a friend. LoL

Use only 10,000 rpm flexfans , 8000 minumum , and dont total time ur engine under the hood. Definitly dont use a plastic or fiber fan !
I have a practically new 10,000 and 8000 setting on the bench , just one of the experiments I tried when trying to keep my 440/505 cool in 90 plus heat.
Running a short clutch factory steel 17'' fan now , dont think it pulls any more air than the flax fan ,but its what I wound up with . I tune/set my timing from the drivers seat , so a flex fan doesnt bother me at all----------

They still sell cigarettes'.

Yes almost 10$ a pack now after all the BS taxes

LOL...my cousin lost his marbles over the 10 buck a pack thing and was done smoking on January 2nd when he was down to a pack and a few sticks.

I asked him Friday how many roots he had left and he said a few...which meant I had to call him out for not quitting. He is just buying one pack at a time now...but he isn’t smoking less.

Addicts can always justify whatever they need to get their next fix.

Every state that raises the tobacco taxes sees a drop in smoking. Then when the lobbyists for the very wealthy industry get them reduced, people start killing themselves (and others around them) again. I look at it as job security...

Wasn't this thread about flex fans?
