Is Mopar Action Magazine the best Mopar Magazine out there ? Or is there a better magazine I can buy ! Just got my renewal for Mopar Action in the mail today !!

It's one of a short few left. Personally, I like it. Always have. I dig Ehrenberg's up humor. They actually have tech and resto topics yet. I like Collector's Guide, also.

Mopar Collector's Guide. Has feature cars. Also a good classified ad section. Is Chrysler Power still going? That's one. Mopar Muscle is history. Is there a Mopar Connection?

theres only two left IMHO. MCG and Mopar Action

MA has tech.

MCG has classifieds and seem to feature more unique Mopars and mopar items.

I guess Chrysler Power is still going ?

I’ve met the guys at MCG every year at the NOLA Car Show. Really cool guys and they have cool apparel and merchandise. The magazine is getting smaller and smaller every year, print is becoming a dinasaur. I keep a subscription to help keep the ink flowing. I never used to subscribe to any magazines because the book store down the street always had them, not so much now.

Mopar Action sent me the same letter.
I'm still raw over the issues I paid for and never got.
I know, it's a different group, but the sting is still there.

it seems to me like the magazines dropped out on quality and quantity after 2015ish. I used to get Mopar muscle religiously among several others and i still have every issue. After 2015ish, the magazines got thinner, the price went up and the the cars featured went downhill and lots of inaccurate information about the cars. The tech articles started being more about modern cars like newer Daimler- Chrysler era vehicles. I dropped off around 2017 and stopped getting them at all.

The "good ol" days were the 2000s and back. I still keep some of those issues handy for a good blast from the past and relevant and useful ChryCo era tech.

What I don't like is the only builds they really focus on anymore are nothing a common man can do.

See, you're not paying attention !
Mopar Action does not focus on tech for the checkbook crowd. Their stuff appeals to ordinary folks like us. From early 2019 to last Summer they did a build series on a '70 Road Runner. If you want A body stuff, Mopar Muscle used to cater heavily towards them. Sadly, they are now defunct. They had a '67 Dart slant six project, a '68 Valiant owned by the editor, a 74 Valiant suspension mule and a 66 dart they did aftermarket front discs on.
I still love magazines. I'm a "Lifer".

I haven`t really dug any magazines since ''superstock and drag illustrated'' quit publishing . The mopar mags were always to high priced , for me .

What about Chrysler Power Magazine.. My car mad e the cover last year and a feature.... i think it iws a good magazine and has great tech in it as well...

I think maybe Chrysler Power died not long after Roland did, but I'm not sure. Haven't seen one in years. I've been getting MCG since they started and I am only missing a few issues. I doubt that will matter when somebody cleans my attic out after I kick over....lol. I gave up on Mopar Action after Tony Defeo stopped writing for them, so it's been a long time since I read one.

:popcorn::rofl:

As mentioned above Chrysler Power is still being published. Good Magazine...they did an article a year or so back on my LRE Truck.

Mopar Muscle was always ****.

MA isn't what it used to be, but damn, eberg is well over 70. It's the way of things

I preferred Mopar Muscle Mag back when they were around.

I know this might sound dumb to some people, but I’m over the current mags. It’s mostly out of range stuff for the common hotrodders, and I’m especially over all this late model 3gen hemi swap stuff.

I have a ‘20 Ram with a 5.7. It’s a great truck and has plenty of power and gets decent mileage. Also, it’s a soulless appliance.

I’d much rather see some real world builds, simple traditional hotrodding, and less 1of1 B/E bodies.

It’s like when HotRod magazine seemed to only feature LS swapped Tri-5s and 1gn Camaros back in the early 2000s. It’s cool every once and awhile, but I’d like to see something I can at least identify with.

Lately the only mags I buy are Car Kulture DeLuxe and Ol' Skool Rodz.

MCG has always been lame in my opinion and Mopar Action is cheesy and poor quality.

Gotta disagree. Mopar Muscle was a great magazine while it was being published. I subscribed for about 30 years. The one thing that DID piss me off was that they shut down owing me almost 4 years. I had just re-upped for two years when we went to the Mopars on the Strip show in Vegas in 20115. While at the show, I stopped by the Mopar Muscle booth to chat with them. They tried to talk me into adding two more years to my subscription. I said no thanks. Then they offered me a great price for the 2 years and 2 nice MM T shirts. I figured, "what the hell." I'm going to always subscribe anyway. Then, with almost 4 years in the bank, they closed down without so much as a sorry 'bout that.

Well, at least You got the Tees.....

My complaint is all the 'vintage" articles, runnung reprints of previousle published content. That and well, I'm getting older. I remember earlier versions of some of these articles. Even the fresh content has been published before.

couldn't tell you the last time i even opened a mopar magazine let alone subscribe to one. they **** the bed years ago in my opinion. can find anything i want on the internet. most magazines are just new product show cases anyway.
