I have a 68 GTS H code car That I’ve ran a hemi in for about the last 15 years. Currently upgrading the engine a bit. It’ll still be a street car.

Those are some very healthy numbers out of those Victors! That build will run on 91 octane and put you well into the 9’s.

I was on a website , that had hemi heads at over 600 cfm ,dont know if their still active tho-------
 
Nice ride! A couple of questions: How big an engine, what's its HP & how do you keep it cool?
 
68 HEMI GTS I can’t remember if you’re going to run it on the dyno, sure would like to see some numbers.

548, I’d like to see 800. not sure what I’m going to do for cooling yet. I stole the radiator (smith) and stuck it in my roadrunner a few years back.
 
My 528 made 829 @6500. I'm still fighting the cooling problem. It's good for about 20-30 mins. on the road. idling it can sit for 30 mins or so easy. I have a Ron Davis radiator in it (26ins), 2 12in. Spal fans, ,160 degree thermostat mech. waterpump, 5 & 5 1/4in pulleys still Runs warmer than I'd like.

WATER PUMP PULLEY SHOULD BE SMALLER THAN THE CRANK PULLEY , AN 1 1/4 OR 1 1/2'' , 2 CORE RADIATOR , BIGGEST UNCAN FIT IN THERE WILL OUT COOL BRASS 3-4 ROW RADIATORS.
A BIG MECH. FAN AND SHROUD WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HELP TOO --------MILODON HI FLOW WATER PUMP , ------------MAYBE A FRONT AIR DAM---------JMO.

The pump pulley is. I had a Mioldon pump & it didn't work as well as a stock one. The radiator is 3 -core aluminum as large as I can fit in there. I didn't want to go too much smaller on the pump pulley for fear the coolant would move too fast through the engine & not absorb enough heat. Using that large a radiator prevents a mech. fan from being used is why I used the Spal fans---at Ron''s recommendation. With the car being able to idle but not run cool at speed I'm thinking it's an airflow issue as opposed to a coolant flow issue. How to fix THAT is the big question.I suppose I could try an even smaller water pump pulley & see what happens

Heating while driving is definitly an air flow problem , I always had the opposite .
a front spoiler should help , the milodon pump helped mine a little , I still have a new alum. 8 vane pump on the bench , I ran it about 60-70- miles . I have an 18'' fan to try if I have any more problems , running a 17'' now , but so far so good . Sure took a lot of experimenting to get where I`m at tho . Good luck !
 
Awesome car and history to go along with it.
Some people might cringe at the fact that an H code real GTS car was used for the build.
But many don't realize that this is how we did it back in the day.
Matching numbers and all that didn't mean anything in those days.........
Also, glad to hear it is still prowling the streets!

What kind on motor/trans mounts do you you run in that beast?
