Fenderwell cutting templates !

-
Okay I'm confused, I thought we were talking about templates for 1Badcolt's Hedman Husler headers. The one from he's pictures that I have on my Dart which need a different cut out than the ones from Hooker.

I wish mine did come with rough templates

That template is not for the Hedman Husler Headers were all 4 tubes exit through the fender well, the Hookers for early A's I think only have 2 tubes perside that are 1 5/8 tudes through the fender well. It would probably be a starting place though, but the holes are going to be opened up more than that. I thought Hedman stopped making those headers quite a while ago, did they just recently start making them again?

I ordered these last year they are made just north of Atlanta !

My template is for hookers

I wonder if Hooker made those drawings when they made those headers for my friend Moto's '66?
He put a 340 in it and called them about headers for it.
"Bring the car, leave it here. We're working on a pattern for that combination."
Left it there for a week and they called him to come pick it up.
"There go. Enjoy. Thanks for your help. No charge."

Yes PLEASE !!!
I could start with those dimension's
Sorry fore the delay, life keeps me busy and forgetful. Hope to do that today

I have had my Hooker super comps for about 6 years or more. Let me get with my wife and see what she can do on a fax machine or copy machine at her work.

These are the Hookers. My holes are a lot smaller. Will need to build and install them before the engine. 2 out one side 3 on the other. Need to recoat before assembly. They have been in and out of the openings 50 times.

I have those super comp hookers on my 65 Formula S . I must be doing something wrong when removing the engine from the car . these headers were a Pain in the A$$ removing them and installing them. Next time I remove the engine I'll try to leave the headers intact and slide the engine out without breaking down the header tube sections and removing them. What is your procedure on a early A ?

They will be put in and mostly assembled first, still not easy.

I had more time on removing and installing the headers than I did on removing/installing the engine from the car. FYI . no more chassis headers for me especially on a early A.

I will be making copies of the templates and instructions on the back, I can't get those pictures to load.
Hope this helps members out ?

Here's a few close up pictures from my '65 Barracuda of where Hedman Husler 75110s enter the fenderwells. I believe it would be the same on your '66 Valiant. The #1 and #2 pipes require cutting down closer to the frame rails and that can't be seen in these photos. Assuming you install these pipes individually, those cuts can be rather small.

Does anyone pictures of the 75110 under the car. I'm curious about where the collectors end (would it be easy to make straight side pipes with those, ending at the front of rear tire)?

Not the best picture but look here where the collector ends. I probably have a 12" extension on the collector. The collector has to tunnel thru the rocker to frame bulkhead to exit where you see here. I

connected street exhaust to the 75110's once (not side pipes), exiting in front of the rear tire and have a picture somewhere. I'll post it if I find it.

My Cyclones didn’t have templates. I got the off the net. I’ll have to take a look in my records

My car has already been pretty severely butchered for headers earlier. Do you think the Hedman fenderwell headers would fit through these openings? By the pictures it looks like the headers should end on the outside of the frame rails. I imagine it would be quite an easy option to just continue them on the outside of the frame rail, and dump out in front of the rear tire.
