So. I ordered and received new hardware kits, brake cylinders and brake shoes to install on my 8.75 rear axle. I will also be changing all the brake lines as well. Would you guys recommend I replace the adjusters as well as long as the originals work? They aren't that expensive, but it's not like anyone besides me will see them.

If the old ones work, keep them they're better than the new ones... Just clean them up and anti-seize the threads....

As long as they spin freely, just clean 'em and use 'em (I always put a dab of anti-seize on the threads). Just make sure you keep them on the correct side. If you'd prefer new, like you say, they're cheap.

edit: Treed again!

Yes, these are usually reusable. I clean them up and put anti-seize on the threads. On the other hand, new ones are cheap and seem to work just fine.

I put a dab of white lithium grease under the floating cap/end. Most adjusters have a thin thrust washer behind that cap. Make sure it hasn't been lost. They dont work well without it.
I dont put anything on those threads. That would just cause lining dust to collect on them. More cleaning to do next time.
