Is that Reseda Dodge building still there. I think it was turned into a used car lot after Reseda Dodge got ran into the ground.

I wasn't aware the Dart Chargers were only available in Southern California. Is that true?

Yes, but there is also one known sold in Arizona, one in Oregon and one in Idaho.

Well how bout all that? I never knew that. I wonder......you reckon it's possible those other cars were shipped there from California?

After being in contact with several members of the L.A./Orange County Dodge dealers and hearing about their regional meetings I find it possible that even if Chrysler announced the Dart Charger 273 to be sold in southern California only that when they had their regional meetings someone got hold of and heard of the DC 273 and wanted to order one. I find it strange too that "sold in southern California only". A bunch of them were sold in San Fransisco too. That might be northern California to even if I'm not sure where the north, central or the south border in California is! I live in Sweden! :)

Chrysler seems to have sold them in these regions;

71 - Los Angeles incl Arizona
72 - Portland incl Idaho
73 - San Fransisco

For the dealer kit cars this region seems to have been involved too;
74 - Denver

Including is a copy of some of the ads for the Dart Charger.

Lewiston Dodge Inc in Lewiston. Today it resides in France since 2019!!

was a used car lot for a couple years. a couple of the parts guys there in the 80's were awesome. spend all kinds of time locating NOS parts from other dealerships and let me go though the parts manuals.

Didn’t Jan and Dean write a song about her ?

It's the little old lady from Pasadena
The little old lady from Pasadena
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
Has a pretty little flowerbed of white gardenias
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
But parked in a rickety old garage
There's a brand new shiny super-stocked Dodge
And everybody's sayin' that there's nobody meaner than
The little old lady from Pasadena
She drives real fast and she drives real hard
She's the terror of Colorado boulevard
It's the little old lady from Pasadena
If you see her on the strip, don't try to choose her
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
You might drive a go-er, but you'll never lose her
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
Well, she's gonna get a ticket now, sooner or later
'Cause she can't keep her foot off the accelerator
And everybody's sayin' that there's nobody meaner than
The Little Old Lady From Pasadena
She drives real fast and she drives real hard
She's the terror of Colorado Boulevard
It's the little old lady from Pasadena
You can catch her all the time, just gettin' her kicks now
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
With her four speed stick and a four-two-six now
(Go granny, go granny, go granny, go)
The guys come to race her from miles around
But she'll give 'em a length, then she'll shut 'em down
And everybody's sayin' that there's nobody meaner than
The little old lady from Pasadena
She drives real fast and she drives real hard
She's the terror of Colorado boulevard
It's the little old lady from Pasadena
Go granny, go granny, go granny, go (come on granny, go)
Go granny, go granny, go granny, go (come on granny, go)

Wrong and wrong. Beach Boys never did the song, to my knowledge, but it was definitely originally written and done by Jan and Dean. The song was in reference to her, not the other way around.

San Francisco is definitely northern California, but really a region all its own (Bay Area). You can divide California into several distinct regions. None of us want to claim any of the others...

Oh, and one more thing. It's my ringtone on my phone for my wife. Hers may not be a super stock, but it is red. No longer brand new, either...I got a great reaction out of her when I first put it on, as well...before she was a little old lady...
