Snow dropped 4” here in the last few days. Cold tomorrow and above freezing again friday.
Van for tires swap is in shop, the snow can melt off the roof. Of the van. Lots of work coming in.

Good to hear.

Machine the wheels. Any wheel shop can do it easily. Then rotors can be replaced whenever needed without any extra work. Rotors are wearable parts, wheels aren't.
I was thinking just that.....OR make sure you order the right stuff to start with???

I did... the wheels were ordered based on the specs from the rotor manufacturer. Amd the measurements to clear the fender wheels. All that stuff was spot on. Wheel specs say they’ll clear up to a 70.6 mm center bore. Rotor is a 70.3mm.Problem is, the wheel tapers down, they don’t have that on their spec sheets and a call to their tech services where they pulled up the cad file. It’s a stepped taper. That’s where it’s bottoming out at. But that step holds the center cap in. So it’s either the hub on the aftermarket rotor is taller than factory or the wheels weren’t machined out correctly. But I’m leaning towards the former. But trying to find factory specs for the rotor is proving challenging at best.

So looks like the closest wheel shop to me is in Kentucky , about 2 hours away. I’ll call them tomorrow, thanks Dave for the suggestion.

Almost forgot today was the 79th anniversary of the Battle of LA

So, yesterday was at Mamans house Mom. Most of the family was there. Same as always, eat good food and drink beer. See how they throw the empties under the table

Morning all spent a couple hours last evening at the house to be. I had my realtor buddy go through the house and glad he did. The house has all Pella roll out windows, not my favorite but they'll do for now. Anyway the bottom of a west facing window was rotted. We checked three more and they were all ok. You guys have been there sometimes one window might just be bad wood when its made. Buddy said call Pella have them inspect them. I thought about it since there are about 40 freaking windows and decided we'll check them. The owner's care taker present with my buddy who has a restoration business and knows windows. We'll identify the bad ones, determine the cost, and report to the owner. Should have it done this week. Pella might of been a week or more to get out. We have a glass company that will come out if needed, remove and repair the window, and install it at a reasonable price.

Typical Fire chicken story. Dig the car out so she can use it today, of course she left the interior light on so the battery is dead. Ok jump it it is running alright home free right? Hell no the driveway is all wet gravel and goes up at a good angle prob 30 degrees up to the road. Tell her don't stop juts get to the road right? Ok its moving, stopping, moving, stopping, then rolling back sideways, hear something like a rock being thrown. She gets it to the road tell her just take it around the block and charge the battery quick. A few minutes later I hear a horn blowing. The pop was the front tire pushed sideways off the rim. Great and of course she shut it off. So jump it told her just drive it 100' to the house. She starts going down the neighbors driveway! WTF?????? Ok no traction on his mud, get it to the house no way I can jack it up till the ground dries out. Some how it is all my fault! I hate that piece of GM crap!
