Going to be painting a friend of mine dart in about a week or so. He wants it sassy grass green on the sides, on the top side a black stripe then silver on the very top. I never did a paint job like this. What color should i put on first ? I have an idea but not sure.

Metallic silver? I hope you have experience with metallic's. Look out for mottling. sliver/gray is the worst.

So is it two colors with the black stripe separating the two.

I recently shot a agave green metallic stripe and found that maybe i should have taken out the filter just below the cup. ooops... still not sure if that was the correct way or not...i just moved on....its a hot rod.

Spray the smallest amount of colour first, then the next amount, followed by the largest amount. The object is to reduce the amount of masking

Yes I have done many metallic paint jobs and your right silver can be a *****. A 2 inch black stripe between the two colors Here is my thought paint the black then tape off the stripe. Paint the green on the sides then tape that off. Then paint the silver.
