I keep meaning to ask. Do intense or concentrated radar/cell signals cause XM Radio to go blank? One spot in town near the airport always freaks out Sirrius XM.
 
A Airport has a bunch of signals going out all the time Radar and ILS are probably the strongest.

Some airports run a frequency jammer that will jam a frequency range when real close to the airport to prevent interference with their radar and ALS/ILS system . Also, if it’s near military aircraft, there’s other gadgets that can interfere as well. But generally the closer you are to Doppler radar, the worst all your other freqs will be. There’s a spot along I70 near the Indianapolis Center Radar tower that for a mile in each direction, you get only 1 FM radio station
 
Where did you hear of a jammer? It would jam theirs also. Marker beacons you can usually hear on a radio, on-off on-off like morse code 24/7

Ran into it a few times when I was in that Comm section in the aviation brigade. It’s usually by airports with runways real close to busy highways. I know there’s one in GA that does. Or at least we were told it does.

Man no way. We could not even test some of our systems if the airport had something coming in 20 miles away. Its a myth. Planes need those signals and no way in hell are commercial jammers directional. Also on or EC-130J's if they were at a airport our systems would go wild with fault codes.

Guess I should have went it’s due to the increase in UFOs that airports and pilots are seeing.

I have seen a UFO. Broad daylight. Cigar shaped and shiny. For real..
Was there about a dozen people were looking at it and it just disappeared.
