Stop in for a cup of coffee

Not quite sure what you're doing there, but I have used a large needle nose and pull handles apart. Might work in side holes of motor and work around different ones. What are you hoping to do to the motor once opened?
Mod it to run 78 records silly!

Thanks, will see if the tips will fit down in there, also may spray some break free around the cases edge. I'm following a procedure written and posted on Vinyl Engine by some guys that have been doing this a lot longer than me, great to avoid the pitfalls because parts are hard to come by on these old turntables. The turntable was making noise, did a clean and lube including cleaning the idler wheel which drives the platter from the inside. Can't even touch the rubber idler wheel or inner platter with bare fingers because of oil contamination. Anyhoo that wasn't the cause of the noise leaving the motor.

No, won't do that without a mod! Does run 45's, also is fully automatic and can play multiple records if you use the dropper (I won't). This model is the culmination of decades of Dual technology, it's quite a piece of engineering of it's time.

We have a old AR we fire up on occasion, prob still have 300 or so lp's still.

That's an oldie but a goodie! I bought one of those in Italy, AvSouth I think the PX was called, lot of huge JBL speakers etc. I sold that tt, wish I wouldn't have!

Here's one my parents gave me, it's playing in the pic.

With the Klipschorns I have in the shop vinyl and tubes are the way to go, everything else sounds harsh and I've tried both solid state amplification and have a Marantz CD player that is "supposed" to sound more like tubes. The speakers don't hide anything, bad recording you hear it. Awesome punch of a midrange drum you feel it.

Good to see you.
I really like how your valiant is coming along.

Thanks. We're gettin ready to ride to Gray right now in it to get groceries. lol Pobably be close to the last time we drive it before it gets the 225.

Is a glorious day here!
And i think im ready to run Fargo through the inspection.
Hope the safety guy is happy with everything.

Since you all are talking about old machines, anyone still have a typewriter, mechanical or electrical?
