I'm not even sure what that is, but have heard that is what is needed to do auto upholstery
Basically it allows your foot to control the speed of the machine, similar to that of a gas pedal. Let’s you use both hands. The machine my wife has just had the regular pedal which is simply on and off.

There’s also a walking foot that is up on the needle that basically keeps the fabric tighter by well walking on it. Allows for tighter stitches

Whatever I was told was needed for upholstery goes up on the machine.
I know about the foot pedal. I did buy the machine for my wife with one of those. And pretty sure it controls speed.

It moves the top layer to keep it from balling up. Without it, sewing multiple layers of vinyl is a pain. Think i may have one, but its for the old singer.

Mine is a clutch. Seriously, motor runs continously, and you can feather the clutch. I added a jackshaft to slow machine down to about 1/2 speed. I dont think i have used it in 5 years.

Not too difficult to use once you get the hang of it. I think in some ways running the machine is the easy part.

Everyone talking about sewing machines makes me smile. Sewing is my stress reliever. One odd thing is that I can’t sew with my shoes on. I have to kick them off so I can feel the pedal better to control the speed more. I drive with shoes on and it’s the same concept, but I just can’t sew as well with my shoes on. I wonder if my driving would also be better if I went barefoot. I may have to try it this year!

Howdy all. Man I even got to backread for a change.
Back up to 3 out of 4 generators again. What a day.

Morning!
Think i might be in trouble today, woke up at S:0S.
Well thats what i saw when i looked at the clock.

Interesting Question from a newbie to the old Mopar world, was helping him out on gthe phone setting points and he did not have even a feeler gauge. He asked me what tools should a person new to these cars have. Gave him a down and dirty, wrenches, socket set, good screwdrivers, feeler gauge etc. Would make a good thread for new guys.

Caravan for rear brakes today.
And tomorrow i fix oil pan leak on that 28 chevy tomorrow.
