I got some more work done today. I got the leaking heater core bypassed, don't need heat right now anyway. I got the suspension leveled a little better and brought the front end up a couple cranks. It was setting too low. I got my headlight bezels on they need some more adjusting the right side is way off! got the carb adjusted a little more and worked on the kickdown some more. I was having problems with the throttle returning. When I get on it it dont want to go back down to idle. It was staying around 1200rpm. I adjusted the throttle cable and the return spring some seems to be ok now I will keep an eye on it tho. I adjusted the timing again in at 14 initial and 38 total without vacuum. This thing runs better than I ever imagined I did a 15-20 mph roll and leaned into it not even full throttle maybe 3/4 and It pinned me in the seat and left 2 black marks about 60 feet! Im gonna need wider tires lol

Nothing much accomplished today other than just riding it around. I took it out a little farther today staying close to the house because I don't have no tags yet lol. Did a little cleaning and fixed the overfill canister 
I found a can of carb cleaner and polished the ole TQ up it looks 100 times better it had alot of black soot on it from the backfires when the dissy was 180 off lol

Thank you buddy! I still have them I just didn't use them because they are narrow 14 inch wheels. I actually plan on redoing them and using them later just for a cruising around wheel combo. I like how they look, but wanted bigger tire options so I went with the 15x7

I haven't posted anything in a long while on here so I figured I better give an update. I worked on the dart some this afternoon after we got a rainstorm around lunchtime. I started working on my driver floor again im doing this side a little differently than the passenger side. Instead of replacing the whole pan in one piece im doing it in smaller separate sections. I think it will be easier to get a better fit plus be a little stronger considering im leaving most of the original floor in and just cutting the rotten spots out. I got the 2 biggest pieces done. I just gotta do the three small patches and then seal and paint it. Also touched up some on the engine block there was some places that got thin and showed thru the paint so I painted them again looks good now. I need to clean and detail the whole engine bay its very dusty under there.

Looks good you did a great job! I like how you painted it the same color as the car. I went cheap and did Rusteoleum black since its gonna be covered in carpet lol

When I was doing an old Duster, I had a few small spots like the holes you have there. I cleaned them up and used seam sealer.

I thought about using fiberglass epoxy on them smaller holes especially the one in that curve of the seat track, thats gonna be a hard spot to cut out and shape back in. Thats why I saved it for last.
Curved parts are hard to make by hand. With some practice…..

I'm just starting the paint process and know next to nothing, but I would probably epoxy primer first and then the fiberglass...
I hope others chime in on my comment to either confirm or deny because I really don't know for a fact and I'm talking about but I keep thinking of sealing the metal so if water got in between it and the fiberglass it wouldn't start rusting...

Yea your right. I sprayed everything down with Rusteoleum primer after I cut all the rust out. Im sure a good coat of epoxy would be best. And I'm 100 percent sure that fiberglass is the wrong way of doing it lol.

Yes, j par is correct. Epoxy prime first, then body work (fiberglass, bondo, etc). The old school way was body work on bare metal, then prime, but the concensus has shifted to seal the metal first with epoxy. I learned body work years ago and used to apply to bare metal. Now with more research I have epoxied the entire car first, then body work, then hi build (if exterior or show interior), seal, then color.

Looking great Kevin. It has the right stance. I'd paint the outside flat black or dark gray primer, and it will look just like a bootlegger car. Primer is finer, at least in my book it is. On them floor pans, I agree a 2 part mix type epoxy primer is probably the best to seal them up. However if you cannot find that, then brushable rustoleum brown color rusty metal primer in a pint or quart can works really well. Stir it up really good and apply 2-3 nice thick coats with a paint brush. I had an old 71 C/10 I painted the entire inside of the bed with this stuff. Worked great, and pretty inexpensive.
