Chicago Italian Beef? Google told me that anyway lol. Tell us about it, never heard.
It is a famous sandwich in Chicago. Thinly sliced beef in a seasoning type auju. With hot peppers served on a bun. You can get them on most any street vendor cart and at mom and pop diners all over the city. There are two main players on the chain side Portellos and the pictured Buckets from Bs. They are both excellent and have rabid followers each claiming the crown. I like them both! You ever want a treat Portellos has a website and you can order a Kit of I think makings for 8 sandwiches for right at 80 bucks delivered anywhere. The box comes frozen complete with directions and everything you need including the special bread. It is well worth it. They are yummy. Give it a try, you will be shocked at how good they are. And beware many folks around the country claim to serve Eyetalian beef sandwiches but I can assure you the only place to get a good one is in Chicago. I always try the imitation ones in search of a good one, no luck thus far.

Thanks for the heads up, I will try them. Went to Chicago once and was after deep dish pizza, didn't know about these sammies.

Be sure and spoon some auju onto the bun. It is the only way to eat them! In Chicago they ask you if you want your sandwich wet! And they actually call it gravy. I might be a redneck but I figure kind of like beer, if you can see thru it, it ain’t beer! Well if you can sip it thru a straw it ain’t gravy! Hah! Man they are good. Be sure and fluff your beef! It is key. Que Karl

Could be on to something :D

Philippe's has been making French Dips in LA for 100+ years.
Their house mustard has mellowed some since my youth
It literally used to take your breath away.

Temps in the mid 30's tonight. I call B/S on that. There goes the asparagus for a few weeks. I'll have to bring a couple plants in so they don't freeze. Good thing I haven't planted a garden yet.

My son said the Dean of the school asked him "What is your plan in case you don't get accepted into a medical school"? He answered that he would keep working on his applications etc., the Dean then said "What if you didn't have to do all that"? and then told him he was accepted. Pretty cool, he's earned his Bachelor's degree 100 percent paid for by his G.I. Bill, so that's a plus.
Congratulations, I know this is super great news for everyone
Dan even gave him a red x :rofl::rofl::drama::drama::drama:
as he should have, Dan advise is rock solid, and we are lucky to have his nolagable info here, I followed his every instruction on my low deck /6, and my little engine was trouble free for 5 1/2 years of daily driving, he totally agreed on a fresh air receiver i did on my own, that 80 degree air made my engine very happy

And what exactly does this all mean? " It wont matter--let that fall where it will--If you time the engine to 36 degrees with every thing hooked up it will start and run great--you can still change the initial timing by inserting an allen head key into the vaccum advance and dialing it up or down to give the initial timing you want--that is generally not need --dont forget to recheck the total if you change the vacc advance ---whats important is the total advance at 36 degrees to saturate the coil and so theres 9 degress of timing to light the cylinder-that takes up the 45 degrees for each cylinder--45 x 8 =360 degrees hope this helps--Hemidon"

I just love that air cleaner assembly. A bit of modern on a old school engine. Morning Mike
