Just a heads up to members of the forum if you have purchased any Moog UCA bushes K408 since around Jan 2021 you should check the box contents if you haven't already. I have 5 sets here purchased on various dates from Jan 2021 to April 2021 that are incorrect. The bushes look like a normal A-body UCA bush but they are larger in all dimensions except the camber bin hole which is smaller. Most of them came from RockAuto and one set from Amazon. See attached picture, on the left a correct bush on the right what's in the box. Has anybody else run into this problem ?

Kinda hard to see the one in the bag

Are there any part numbers on them?

RockAuto will let you return them if they’re actually mis-boxed.

If it’s multiple suppliers though it’s a Moog problem, as usual. And on that note, it may not be a mis-boxed part. It might just be Moog’s abysmal quality control as of late. They used to make some of the best reproduction parts, but in the last few years they’ve been putting out hot garbage. I will literally buy anything other than Moog, it can’t be worse.

Rockauto is just a figure head that orders parts from different part depots. Their prices are unbeatable, but shipping adds a bump in price. I just ordered a set of pads for my 71 cuda that uses Cordoba rotors and pads. The box I received was in good shape but the pads that were wrapped in cellophane had been opened. My take is somebody needed brake pads received these and were wrong so were returned. There was no damage to them and it looks like they weren't installed. I will still order from them because of the low prices. The rotors and dust caps I ordered were perfect.

Not a fan of Rock Auto because this has happened to me more than once. I recently ordered UCA bushing set for '74 AMC Hornet and received the Mopar ones which were to small and fell into the A arm holes of the Hornet. Ordered a water pump from them for same car and got one for a later model Jeep which spins in the opposite direction due to serpentine belt. You likely have the AMC bushings I should have got !!

@SGBARRACUDA - they just don't like me !! On a serious note there are other car guys around here who have gotten good service and swear by them. :)

But it only takes once to get bitten. You have no guarantee when you go the local parts dealer and find a problem with a part you give it right back. With the rock you send it back and have to wait sometime to get the right part. The good thing with our restorations usually we can wait, it's only when you order for your daily driver that gets you upset when you need it yesterday. I'm so glad we have choices and are able to get parts for these old cars we try to keep running.

Rock Auto sent me two different looking upper ball joints for 73 up LBJ control arms. I called voiced my complaint they sent me two more immediately that were the same two different joints. But at least I had a matching pair. Then they told me to keep the first set. Can’t ask for much more.

Here are some better pictures, on the left correct A Body UCA bush, on the right what's in the box.

I posted this to alert anybody who has bought these Moog bushes in the last 6 months to check what they have if they haven't gone to use them yet. It wasn't to discuss the merits of RockAuto vs. any other outlet. This is definitely a Moog screw up.

I can't even figure out what they fit. The first thing I knew about it was when a customer messaged me and said these don't fit, I thought oh yeah and went and pulled another set and was like holy s**t look at these. I checked the other ones on the shelf and all the same.
