Ugh.

Just saw one of those in the junk yard. A total survivor.

I like it.

Not quite a Hornet, not quite a Gremlin.

(but parts interchange to both)

They reinvented the early 70s AMC hornet chassis over and over.

Yup ! I have a soft spot for AMC's though! No other American Manufacturer did more with so little. Example is the 290 v-8 that was the cornerstone of all the v-8's up to the 401. Also, their styling from 68-71 was killer. I loved the Big Bad Javelins and AMX's and of course, the Rebel Machine. These were true musclecars in my opinion and a great well balanced offering. Also, the Jeeps which even now are one of Chrysler's biggest cash cows. (yes, I said Chrysler.. they bought it and nurtured it, not FCA who are hellbent on destroying the heritage.)

Way Way to much chit chat in the thread, this is a for sale thread, so please refrain from posting comments folks, I appreciate it.

Point taken but thought this was commentary on the car not an ad by a member.

Don't forget the best one. Rambler Scrambler. Guaranteed to run 14.1 or better with a qualified driver. I could never find one I liked so I bought a 1970 AMX about 15 years ago and still have it and love it.

AMC's can be bad ***. A friend of mine has a little American that looks like a 15 sec. street car (minus the roll cage) and runs low 9's all AMC powered. ps this is his slow AMC.

I remember seeing one of those with steel wagon wheels and and AMC 360 flat hood running 10.80s at Norwalk back in 1986. I watched people point and laugh at it until it yanked the wheels and lit the ET board at the big end.

Those spirits are really light, and the chassis are very stiff, because they never changed the unibody from the 4x4 units to the 2x4 cars.
My buddy and his son have two of them.
One has a junkyard LS and the other one has a Dart 565 big block, they are really quick cars.

I like it. Except for the pink steering wheel. Wtf?

Are you assuming this is a guy's car ? Might belong to the missus!!

Pink ignition wires by the looks of it as well!!

His or hers, it don’t matter. The pink wheel has to go! I’m guessing by the color of the car that the accessories used to be red as well. But....now they’re pink.

Have to agree with you.. the pink looks bad!
