I ran into a guy today that told me he had an old boat with a 340 . I told him I would love to see it and he said he would call me later today . I went to his storage unit and there it was ! Really nice shape !

What a bowl full of badassary that is! I love how they cast CHRYSLER into the exhaust manifolds. That's cool as all heck. Thanks for sharin.

I once dated a girl whose father worked for Chrysler marine, he had some pretty wild stories from his experiences in the 70's, including one where he went to a convention and was given a brand new 440 'Cuda as a courtesy car while he was at the convention. He always had C body wagon as a tow vehicle at home, and some interesting boats from the stories he used to tell.

I see it has a single plane intake manifold.

It's 100% inboard (not inboard/outboard) with the prop shaft going out through the hull all you will see from the back is the propeller.

Would be interested in what year that boat is.

See the 340 has a points distributor too.

Here are a few other cars in the same storage facility... by the amount of dirt on them they have been sitting for years !

Gen 1 Barracuda Formulas S 4sp... all there !

I think 7-8k would buy this .... all the chrome is good , the upholstry is redone with NOS covers , the engine is strong , gelcoat could use a little touch up but is actually super nice for a swimmer (driver?)

That is ultra, ULTRA cool!!!

I assume the lever under the wheel is the shifter?

Is that a Chrysler hull to?
Have a buddy that has one, bought it as a floor model from a boat dealer.
Claims he's only had it on the water twice.
Probably hasn't been started in 30 years.

Either gear shift or Throttle right below the tach.
By the looks of the 2 control cables it's hand shift and hand throttle.

See the big starter coming in from the back of the engine to turn the engine over in the opposite direction for the marine application.
