The Future Is Here, Introducing The eDart

Electric is not there yet in a manner that can be mass marketed despite all the claims that it is. In a decade or less I believe that there will be something else to supplant it and get the fan boys excited. Truth is that we will be using internal combustion vehicles for quite awhile yet.

Lol. I can't imagine a Harley that wasn't loud or didn't leak haha. It's a generation thing. I have seen electric Dirtbikes and just shook my head. It did everything except make some noise and I thought it had no soul....

JW

That's not a leak, the bike is just marking it's territory.
Dogs do the same thing, and they are man's best friend.
I think I see a correlation.

I feel the same way when I see a 4 stroke dirtbike

Yano,
when everything has been converted to electricity, and the electricity stops flowing, we're in deepchit. And you cannot even get away. I'd rather have 60 or 80 pounds of gas on board than hundreds and hundreds of pounds of stinking useless at that point, batteries.
As a Believer, and knowing that I will be on a government hit-list shortly, I keep my tank full at all times. and fresh gas nearby, and I keep a points distributor just as handy. When I gotta run, mychit will go. With overdrive, my Barracuda can be set up to go about 450 or more miles on a tankful of gas, and still sprint to 106 in the 12s.
Electric vehicles will be like dogchit; found everywhere, dried up, and in the way, with the owners walking away. Can you not see that this is an evil ploy? The electric car owner is on a very short leash.
And when Biden starts driving up the price of gas to make you think about electric cars, try to stay focused; he is just leashing you shorter; he is NOT your friend! First he will take away the guns, and then your mobility will go. Then he will come for the Christians, and the "useless eaters". Set your clocks to Biden time and watch it play out. Movies have been made about this, prophesying it for several decades, already.
God says he never does anything without His prophets telling us about it first. That was done about two thousand years ago.
Satan also prophecies, but he's a lil slower. Get your collective heads out of the sand boys, satan has already been announcing his plans for something like 70 years; now you just gotta wait a lil bit longer. Everything goes according to God's master plan, satan cannot hurry it. Trump was a blip on the timeline to accomplish God's plans. That's over now, so get ready.
But don't worry; very soon you won't be able to buy even a loaf of bread, much less a new electric leash. But hey, at least you won't have a mortgage anymore........ Oh wait, you won't own anything anymore. The state will own it all, and rent it back to you. And if, or rather when, you can no longer meet the rent payment, out you go, the state will re-allocate your home to someone who can. Seeya.

Dig a well, you can only survive about three days without water. Just don't let your neighbors see you do it, or it will be a community well. Abraham had to dig three wells to finally keep one for himself ......

A good 250 on the pipe will smashmouths any thumper when it comes to sound.... Any some Klotz oil and C-16 (oh that smell.) This thread is looking up now lol.....
Klutz beanoil...doesn't get any better then that

Okay I can get on board with this klotz smell good, this from an old penton Rider that should date me

I have it and still use it even in chainsaws just for the smell lol... Yep, that stuffs like crack. Just like a wicked smallblock with a short LSA cranking it out at a stoplight. That's my thoughts on the EV stuff and car guys. If none of that matters, then go be you and have fun. Personally I would go smell more Klotz running through my KX250 and give up this car racket if I had to go EV in an older car....

Love it man. I was looking into it for my Aussie Charge but going original for now.

Electric cars are amazing to drive but a bit strange at first without the sound but the immediate power is amazing.

The battery issue? Give it a few years. The new graphene batteries will charge in minutes with 500 miles per charge.
Graphene is also super light and thin.

Plus there's the ultra fast carbon electrode.

Future stuff man! Think of yourself as a pioneer.

progress is amazing.

There are many reasons why we are all passionate about our cars and Mopars.

What I personally loathe about this community is the holier than thou, "you're not a true mopar fan" purism because you use aftermarket suspension or convert to elec.

Purists feel special and more important by being rigid but instead of building a community it separates us. It's a classic case of the know-it-all.

Opinions are good but these purists feel they are experts and denigrate anyone else who is trying to do something different just because they wouldn't.

ha ha you must be fun at parties

I agree we are in pioneer age like when the horse and mule was changing over to mechanicals, be it stream, gas or electric (was back then!). But it does not keep me, in my mind, from separating the difference between purist, hotrod,or resto mod, etc. I have no hate. Man will evolve with his inventions till the end of time.
I am an old soul, there are two using (workng) horses here.

If you don't have date coded air in your tires you ain't ****.

:popcorn::rofl:

Very true, I had my share of push starting cars back in the day. I actually miss those times. Kids nowadays will never know the good times we had.
After I put headers on my 1956 Chevy truck. I was 16 at the time. I had to push start it ever time. Lol of course it had to do it 2.5 hours from home. Lol

the more I look at it . the more It screams UGLY !

it kinda feels like the beaker A bodies to me...but ugly but nostalgic, and somehow people like them

growing up the Kadett was very popular (in Europe)
especially the GSI version

it had a sligthly sportier front fascia and rear bumper and could be had with a "impressive" 2.0l 16 valve engine that made 144 ft/lb and 150 HP

my favorite cosmetic change is the dual headlights (i had those in my 4 door) but something has to be done about the indicators because they just look unfinished

but...by far...the coolest thing you can do to one of these little cars (short of setting them on fire and replacing them with a mopar) is the "testarossa body kit"

(i spend about an hour looking, but this is the closest i can find is this one, but i remember one with 4 "spines" running down the side)

I got into hot rods, dirt bikes and fast snowmobiles to have fun, annoy my neighbours and attract hot women... so far it’s all worked out... if I can piss off some purists along the way that’s just a bonus.. so bring on the LS swaps, diesel conversions and electric cars... who the hell needs to see another stock Mopar in this lifetime

I’ve been hearing this bull **** about “renewable” energy since at least 1981 and I haven’t see it yet.

I love that it’s called “technology”. That’s the catch all phrase when the media is trying to shove something up the *** of the public they don’t really want. Take the 4 stroke dirt bike. A big, heavy, expensive slow revving pig that is so inefficient that they have to double the displacement to make it competitive.

And what did the media say?? Its the “new” technology”. And some of the public bought that crap. When KTM released the finger follower valve train the media kept saying it was “F1 technology” but I’d bet the vast majority of the dirt bike media has seen anything F1 except in pictures. Yet they leg humped it to the moon.

BTW, gasoline does not come from “fossils”. It never has. It is made in the earth. That’s why old wells can be uncapped and they will produce 60-70% of what they produced at peak. It’s because they fill back up.

Let them sit a couple hundred years and they will produce 100% of what they did when first drilled. So crude oil is a renewable natural resource.

The mining and such to produce batteries worth a crap is far more detrimental to the environment than any part of the crude oil logistical layout.

What about things like freight hauling??? Battery powered Semi trucks? That’s a riot. What about trains?? I know they use some form of electric motor but they have to burn diesel to do it.

Both of the above examples have to motivate in varied environments, climates, elevation and over diverse geographical areas. How I the hell is a battery going to do that. How far do you think an 80,000 pound truck and trailer will go through the snow, up hill? How fast can it do it? How long will it do it? I guess to the tree huggers is all that matter is electric everything and ignore the logistical and control issues that they involve. Those trucks are way too slow as it is now. You’d have to add 40,000 pounds of batteries to make it go. How long to charge? How often does it need to be charged? What about 8 and 9 axle truck and trailer stuff that can gross 105,500 pounds? What battery requirements for that? Do we increase the total GVW to make it happen, or reduce the GVW by the weight of the batteries???? If you do the former, the roads won’t take the extra load. Damn. That makes everything more expensive when you have to rebuild all the roads. But the DC dullards never think that far out. And what if we keep the GVW the same, but reduce the load carrying ability by the weight of the batteries??? Oh goodie? We still have to move the same amount of freight. So then what??? Way more trucks on the road and all that ****.

There are no good solutions to any of these questions. At least I’ve never heard any real answers to them.

What about ocean going vessels? Think they will work on electric motors? No way.

So all you unicorn riding, pixie dust sniffing, Santa Claus believing fools better wake up and see this is nothing more than a way to control the population. Just like mass transit, the most worthless, inefficient method of moving people there is. But the granola eating, sandal wearing communists love that ****. The funny thing is the vast majority of them have never used mass transit.

It’s not fear or ignorance that makes me not like electric powered vehicles. It history. You see, the gasoline powered internal combustion engine already beat out steam and electric locomotion a century ago. Sure did. And why was that?

Go back and dig for the history in it. The electric crowd said the same **** then they are saying today. And everyone else said exactly what I say. How will you power them? How will you recharge them? To build the infrastructure to do that was criminally abusive to the environment that the freaks said they wanted to say.

The “green” movement isn’t new. It’s communism wrapped in lies and deceit. It’s about control. All you fools just lived through the biggest population control effort since the planned Arab oil embargo and the “oil crisis” that went with it. And it appears the vast majority didn’t learn a damned thing from it. Go back and study that. And while you are digging through the history books, have a look at the lie of peak oil.

What a crock of bullshit. I get tired of hearing that some of you aren’t afraid of “new technology”. It’s what idiots say when they have no idea what is happening. They have zero knowledge of history of the not so long past, and they can’t learn from the history they live through. But they love to Pat each other on the back and tell everyone how proud they are in their own ignorance.

The end game is control of the population. Simple as that. Wake up.
