Hi everybody:

To me this great look car looks to be B7 blue but how should I put it...nicer? My car was B7 blue originally and since it must be paint again I think I would like to bring it back to it's original colour. The problem I have with it some cars seems to look great with it and some look kind of blaw but then again that's just my opinion. This Dart looks great but is it B7 something that's close to it or maybe even a darker B5? B7 blue with clear coat polished up?

Kind of dead compared to the one on the video

I painted mine Bonsai Blue which is a 90's Dodge truck color. It's a bit Darker Blue which was what I was after. That Dart looks sweet !

It looks really close.
Depending on the light, this color can be pretty dark in the shade and a lot lighter in the sun.
I really love this color BTW!

In 1968 EE1 was Midnight Blue.

I suspect the color on the video Dart is a modern color or a custom mix with pearl. The old 60s formulas never look that deep or shiny.

Apples to oranges not including the cars.... The images are more night and day than the cars IMO. Nobody but you can decide your taste. However if you wanted my opinion I like yours better. But I would want to see it in natural light...

It does. Very nice. Well there's a body man in town who I know personally that's doing a 70 Dart B5 Blue in a few weeks so that's going to be a chance for me to get a look at a car in person

I think blue is one of the most over done colors on a Mopar but all the Mopar blues are pretty colors.

Actually agree on that. Was thinking on doing it this colour because I love it on this car and not many 69 Darts are this colour, but the engine compartment will be left black because there's no way I'm pulling this engine out again because we had so much trouble getting the little things perfect. Black and yellow will look like crap. The cops would find that car easy in the whole Province if they were looking for me

B5 is a very tricky thing as they changed it soo much. With B5 its important to look at all years of it. The difference between 69 and 70 is pretty drastic. People can say they like B5 but, it really depends on the year of B5.

Right it sure seems that way 69s seem to be very light..pale almost but I like them with white stripes rather than black. This car is B5 but looks very different from the newer colour

B5 Looks different at different angles and light. B5 has different tones between the years it was used.

And you have to remember the color UNDER that B5 or B7 or whatever will make a difference in the outcome or look.
It's a puzzle and a drama alright. I had a terrible experience with an F6 bright green metallic paint job. It all fisheyed all over the place about three months after it was done and now it's like you can actually see dirt under the paint. I really like the colour but I never want to see it again near me again lol
