Hey guys, been a while since I posted, things have been busy.
Finally have a home for my Dakota.
They started in January before the massive snow hit.

Nice.

I like the side loft(s).

Nice wide door- great feature.

How much did the slab co$t?

How big is your shop? My garage is 24x30, I built it in 2013, concrete was around $7k then.
Good call on the hoist, I've never regretted mine for a second, doubt that you will either.

It's 24x24 x12 high. Hoist ended up being 12' 6" so I have to build it between the rafters

Mine is 10 ft high, due to height limitations in city bylaws, my hoist is a 2 post Maxjax, lifts about 50 inches, still beats crawling on the floor with jackstands.

Nice buddy! Congratulations are in order for sure. Nothing like your own place to go play with your toys. I love the Dakota as well, what are you planning for it?

And I just saw the mineral wool bags. Good choice, I love that stuff.

That’s about the size of shop. And it’s too small by at least double. I’m getting too old to build a bigger one. I’d just be building it for someone else to use.

It must be a great feeling to start filling it up!! That’s always exciting to see it done after thinking about it and watching it go up.

Most cities have planners that have done great job at trying to eliminate the ability to be a back yard mechanic for our own cars. Unfortunately some peeps turned it into a business which had cities clamp down on being able to have a grease pit and/or enough height for tall hoist.

Everything is pretty much purchased for it. In my earlier threads I have a breakdown. It's got a 318/390 stroker ported edelbrock heads 258/262 solid roller. Megasquirt EFI
