Comp XE270S experiences?

I felt bad using a flat tappet in my ('87) block, but it had always been a hyd flat tappet (stock 2bbl truck, later a .430/.450" Purple hydraulic), and all the roller cams I had then were in use or obligated to other builds. You're gonna love that Duster, I did a '92 Jeep 5.2L Magnum for my '68 Dart and used a 218/224*@.050" Comp roller (custom back then, now a XR270HR-10) and ran as low as 8.20s at 86mph in the 1/8mi. I had a tight converter which was killing my 60ft. times, so depending on your cam, you may need a tight 9.5 or 10" converter, mine was 11"....
this cam is 235/249@50 522/509 ls 107 on 102 centerline,..its one them comp cams nobody likes...

Thumpr! lol. I used to love the Dual Energy series, but everyone else shunned them, preferring the Xtreme Energy cams (but not so much the noisy rockers!). Serious builds I tried to use the High Lift .904 series or the Purple Plus .904 series, depending on what the app needed. I just haven't needed a Thumpr yet but I know they run good and sound mean. I did get one ground on a 113* LSA for a Buick 455, but I haven't run it yet. Perfect specs as far as duration split, but the Buick likes that wide lobe sep on the street with stock heads.

i got a hell of a deal on it, figure if it dont work i can pull it out and get racerbrown to re grind it to something that will, but i like big lopey cams and ant skeerd to turn rpms to get the power band!
