First shot at paint..my 66 barracuda

Inspiring work! It looks soooo good. Makes a novice like me think he can actually do it. :D

I plan on doing my first paint job (hopefully) in the not too distant future. Going to start on my daily beater Dakota as I it isn't a big deal if I have mess ups. It will be my learning experience. Then it will be on to my '68 Barracuda and, if I'm happy with the Barracuda, then my '65 Sport Fury.

I know the colors won’t make sense to most, but the grey and blue will be incorporated on the outside. So just tying the interior into the exterior.

Did some taping off for the stripes. Ok..ALOT of taping off. I did the blue, my buddy tackled the grey…

The goal was to make the grey super dark to make the stripes and hood almost like a ghost effect, or just subtle.

From a distance it just looks black. In the sun, it pops pretty good. Well at least to this color blind guy. I’m happy with it so far.

Looks like you got what you were looking for. Nice job . I did ghost flames on my brother in law's Ramcharger you could only see in the sun. Wish I took pics. It was before camera phones .lol

Haha how did we ever manage back then. Lol

Wow, just Wow. Beautiful, but I am guessing pix do not do it justice. It looks Black from here.
You are correct, pics just don’t portray what I see looking at it. I’ll be sure to take some pics when we pull it out in the sunshine to show the difference in colors.
