For funs.... any ET guesses ??

I like that truck to go 16.05, but for some reason my last guess on your van I was way off so I'm giving a range 15.90-16.10
LOL.... I appreciate you playn' :)

It will probably 60ft pretty good, after that though......
The converter is so tight, I think the 60 ft will suffer but it's got a good 20 - 70 mph... lol

If it's best of multiple passes then I'll say low 15's. First run high 15.
It will most likely be a Saturday (maybe this Sat), and they'll probably force me to run trophy, so I'll get 2 trial runs then be eliminated :D

1980 Dodge D150 long bed 2wd. Has a 100% factory stock '85 318 in it with only the addition of 4bbl/headers. 727, and 4.30 gears. At the starting line it will weigh about 3750 lbs. Ye all have seen enough of the videos/pictures I've posted. There is a whole playlist on my youtube channel about it.

Next trip to the strip, it's about weather and scheduling now. It will be it's first time out. Any ET guesses ??
15.00 at 90.05 mph

At least a day and a half. Got my stickers. Thanks man.

its going to 1/8 ok and then its going to fall on its face on the top end. _too much gear, not enough motor) go out and have fun and make yourself smile.

To be honest, the gears helped the big end. It's at a much better rpm for hp and pulls better than before the gear swap for a better finish.

Most don't think he'll even do 80 mph so in 3rd with 4.30 he should be spinning 4500-4800 ish rpm through the traps.

I guessed 16.45. I used the ‘Penalty Box’ to come up with that guess, plus added a couple tenths for assumed bad summer air. Of course I could have missed it by a little but wow, I think you bombed that index, good job!

You know, I didn't even think ONCE to see how it stacked up against the penalty box. Good thinking and I'm glad you mentioned it. So if you added a couple tenths, then the box had a index of 16.25. Another example where the box is close, and also that the 318 in DT did run hard for what it is.

Well dang it, I tried running the numbers again and came up with something closer to middle 15s. The unknown being your elevation but still, I missed it by more than I thought lol! Still impressive run though!

track is about 660 ft. Still, it was right there with the index....

I still think it won't cover a 100 feet per second in the final 1/8. lol
puts me spot on at 16.5.

LOL... :D Just say it... the ole' 318 will run !! LOL . 68 mph is 100 ft per second, and she was doing 69 mph by the 1/8. I reckon she'd have hit about 84-85 mph in the 1/4

The 318 did good  I'll stand by my assertion in the final 660 though :poke: I think the van wins.
the truck runs out of steam in the final 300.:D
