Converting bench to buckets... just cut this out..??

It was on there regardless of bench or buckets.
So, factory bucket cars have that "stop"..??? It's been 30+ years since I had my factory bucket car, but I certainly don't remember anything like that being there... That would cause a huge lump, bump in the carpet... Are you sure..???

Positive - if I had no clue about it, I would not have posted. ;-)

It is part of the hump regardless of seat type.

Yes, it was always there no matter what seats you had, you are just not remembering it. My 69 GTS 383 4-speed with console has it...

So at what point where thay not there? I purchase 2= 4 speed hump thay were cut out of cars 1 has the bench stop and 1 that does not.

I've seen the stop on bench seat as well as bucket seat applications. 4 speed with or without console.
I guess the stop was part of the assembly line build either way.
If it's not there, it may have been modified at some point.

I didnt put it in with my floor hump. Going to be a bucket seat car anyways. When you stick the carpet in, nobody sees it. I would install it if you were going bench seat.

I'm thinking I'm going to remove it.. I would think it would cause a visible bump in the carpet..

Just leave it on there.
The bump would be minor anyway and not very noticeable.
But, do what you want, it's your car!
