CVF Racing water pump?

-
I'm happy with their stuff. My water pump pulley was a little tight and I had to Emery cloth the little nub that sticks out so the pulley would go on. I can't say enough good things about the alternator bracket... It beats the living hack out of the old fashioned stretch it and tighten it..

I'm having "issues " w/ mine. Caint get the right belt. 66 273 w/ ac wp pulley... Definitely going for they pulleys. And probably the alternator belt I should have bought them last year though it looks like they're creeping up

With belts I generally take a belt that's too large and use a zip tie to pinch it down to about the length that I need. Then take it in and have them match up and buy two or three in that size range keep my receipt and packaging and take the two back that I don't need.. done that on several different kinds of setups..

Cool trickster! 've tried similar tactics, string, ect, a tape measure won't do it... think they're metric #s.. The best they can do is a white air compressor type belt... I'm doing the pulleys from CVF. Sucks they went up. But everything has, and will, continue to increase

I know I went to an AutoZone and they just had this measuring tool that they stretch the belt over then pull it tight and it gave a reading of what size the belt was.. but I think somewhere encrypted in there is the actual length of the belt....

Yeah the local Advanced Auto Parts here had one but the Millennials couldn't operate it.. I drove my duster up there, one of the employees said his stock F-150 Club cab would dog my car... I LAUGHED MY *** OFF IN HIS FACE AND CALLED HIM OUT ON THAT!

This is just Chevy orange like all the rest now. lol Unpainted and it'll look like *** in short order.

If it’s too long I have cut it (a stretched, old) set the alternator at a little less than half way (the adjuster bolt) on the bracket slot, lay one end of the belt in the WP pulley and make a mark on the pulley, then just continue wrapping the belt tight as I can around the alt and crank pulleys and bring the other end onto the WP pulley and mark the belt where it lines up with the other end or mark. Lay it out flat and measure. Really no need to make an extra trip or call around trying to find a belt measuring tool, being in the country vs. just round the corner from a store kinda dictates that option:)

Well, I'm outside of Tampa, but the closest place is an Advance. And they suck. Pretty much everywhere round here. But this one, rest assured, is worse

Shoulda known better , absolute garbage , new engine and the wp pulley wobbles so bad could not finish break in , snout on the water pump is off center and makes the pulley and fan blade wobble.

Which one did you get? Some ppl were getting gmb pumps with the cast nipples and not the thread in kind.

Thread in kind with brass nipples. Hub on the end of the water pump shaft is crooked making the fan blade and pulley wobble , never thought to check that ****. Started for break-in (.610¨ solid) saw the wobble and fan just starting to hit the radiator. Shut it down, ripped everything off the front and ordered a new Milodon.
