Thought about doing a cart that was tall enough to take down some of our shitty gravel roads.
Getting the gearing right that would take some time to figure but would be fun.
My dad built me one as a kid that had a David Bradley gear reduced axle and Valiant spindles with steering box. It was not fast but would go through anything. You could still find a David Bradley for about 150 bucks to use if you like.

Sounds good I'll check it out.

Smart idea really conserving and cutting costs.
Off to work have a good day guys.
On you A are you use the electric windshield wiper or vacuum. My electric wiper motor mount for the armature fell apart the motor was useless. I started thinking about finding another motor that would fit in the housing. Turns out an old Eldon slot car motor is 12v and has a gear on it that matches the gear in the wiper transmission. Wedged it with foam rubber in field coil of original motor works great been about 5 years now no problem necessity mother of invention

Mine was once electric I think but now a cheaper more cost effective way, and it's fun to operate.:)

An old wrecking yard that I came across last week, the owner is 83 years young, still has around 1500 cars, (I didn't count them but don't doubt it). No muscle cars left, nut an amazing number of complete cars from the 50s and 60s, even some as far back as the 20s. He's been in the business since the 1970s, and his father was before him. Just a few pics to tease y'all. I was too busy trying to take it all in and didn't get many pics. Great pictures Linc. I used to love walking through those yards but now the Ins companies won't let you. Unfortunately the old yards have since been sold when the owner passes away and the family aren't interested in it so everything gets crushed. A real shame.

Ya one winter I drove for a flat bed company we hauled sheet rock to menards and scrap cars back. Saw lots of classics flat on my trailer. French lake Minnesota is or was a wrecking yard like your describing. Cars from the 20’s and up. Cool place

In Manitoba if the cop saw you operating that you’d get a ticket for distracted driving LOL
You can drive a motorcycle in the rain with no wiper at all and not get pulled over with a full face helmet, but if you have to use a hand wiper on your windshield your getting a ticket is kinda lame I think.
Not driving mine in the rain if I don't have to but at a top speed of 35 MPH I think even a bug will still be alive after going through the radiator. LOL

The bug might even pass you on the left lol

Agreed but the first distracted driving ticket in Manitoba was for eating a burger go figure

Num a good burger sounds good but best to stay off the road and chow down on the the side of the road so we can dip our fries in ketchup without missing the little ketchup package and rubbing a good french fry all over the center console while missing the ketchup bowl as we try to stay on the road and out of the ditch. LOL

Speaking of driving I was up in Winnipeg many years ago driving semi with a load of watermelon from I think it was Alabama I picked them up and you have an underground dock that is a nightmare to get into. I was the last semi to dock and had to blind side it into the dock without hitting the semi next to me and no room to jackknife the tailor for a easy back up.
Never again I told the boss and last time I was in your big city.

What irks me is the laws on top of laws. Distracted driving is already on the books but now we have to have a cellphone law and spend money on signs to advertise it. I see jackasses driving with their dogs in their laps while smoking cigarettes' and never see them getting ticketed but put a cell phone to your head and its game over.

Morning guys... Thursday already. Where has this week gone? I must have blinked too many times. Distracted driving has been a subject for many years. We've all done it, eating and drinking something while driving, changing a tape or CD. There have been many accidents caused by it unfortunately. I do talk on the phone while driving but using bluetooth only. Even then you have to have your wits about you. Like other cars ours has Voice Recognition and just push the button, tell them what album you want and crank it up. Nice option but all kinds of things to go wrong.
Have a great day

Well it’s like it’s always been the actions of a few puts the load on many. I mean there’s a time and place for everything. Drinking a coffee while cruising down a 4 lane divided highway no so much. Reading the newspaper different story. If people would just use common sense we wouldn’t have all these laws to protect us from ourselves

Cripes we can't even get BMW drivers to use their signals LOL

Morning guys finally got a bit of rain but just enough to wet the yard.
Was thinking of doing my grocery shopping today and might just have to stop in Tractor supply and check out wheels and tires for my go cart plans so I get an idea what it's going to cost to build one.

I used old lawn tractor wheels. That was the reason to have to gear it down. Gives it kind of a dragster look
