Morning guys and looks like I'm first. Sure is getting cool at night but great sleeping weather and lovely during the day. Looks like a lot of rain next week
 
We have a fed election tomorrow and glad when it's over with all the bullshit plastered all over the TV and radio and the net and such plus the signs posted up everywhere. Kissing hands and shaking babies LOL

Could cut the roof off and weld the doors closed and make a roaster out of it and slam it and a nasty 4 cylinder in the back. That would be cool with a nice paint scheme.

That would be sweet to do but at this point thinking of making it a daily driver for winter time snow. Just got to put a better heating system in it.

That happens here in the states also and seems like they start further out every time. It would be nice if they stop telling what they are going to do and actually do it.

V dubs are cool takes a bit of learning to understand the engineering of them. The power train in them is pretty much bulletproof had my tee pee header red 6” up from head lots of times let it idle to cool down before shutting it off no prob. The only issue I had was the nose cone on transaxle where the shift rod enters. With the rubber mounts and off road conditions with some abuse thrown in it would break that part of the housing so I bolted the engine transaxle solid no more problems. Have parts Fred

Been over 40 years since I worked on a VW bug so will have to ask you for some help if ya don't mind and if you have parts for sale that would be great if we can figure out how to trade across the border.

Better put a box stove in there that little air cooled 4 pucker doesn’t put out that much heat. If your going to drive it in winter my I suggest frost shields for all the windows. Holy crap just thinking about that I can’t remember the last time I ever saw a frost shield :rofl:

Not sure what it is I didn't get lots of time to look at it but it is all there but the muffler is gone.
Checked for rust mostly on the floor pan but couldn't get the hood open so will have to gut it when I get it home and going to do that outside so to make sure the mice are all gone before I bring it in the garage.

Got a heater all picked out that runs on diesel. My son has one in his plane and works great.

Good idea. Don’t know much about the body’s torched mine off the floor pan and off to the shredder it has a torsion bar suspension. Which works very well. Older front suspensions are a little better because they are welded pipes newer ones are stamped steel and prone to rust

I got lots to learn on engine stuff but thinking of leaving it somewhat stock. I'm to poor to spend a lot.
