Well Well, Oh Well....

So glad you won todays battle. We all know the war aint over. Only question is whats next? I've been poking every dime I find in a 2 liter soda bottle. After 4 years it still isn't quite full. Just not enough dimes found in the change (not sure why). Anyway... When I need that 5 to 7 hunerd to pay some younger fighters for those unknown battles... I'm half assed prepared. Soldier on my friend.

I would venture to bet our city water yearly bill is close to what your 20 year pump is going to cost...
you got me curious so i did me some calculating...im just shy of $300.00 annually

The flat labor to replace the pump would have been 500. The pump I have is a 1HP. They normally run between 500-1200 depending on brand and whatnot. I know you can find them cheaper, but if I had to replace the pump, I only wanna do it once.

WELL thats great news. What about the loan? Car parts now?
Actually, what I ended up doing was paying off the few small balances on our credit cards. So now, we're ALMOST like being back at zero with the loan with the cards paid off, plus we got the well fixed. And we have a little bit left over so I can take Kitty to her favorite chinkese place to eat. lol

LOL the only reason I get up in the morning is just to find out what is gonna happen "next"
Indeed. Sometimes it's just the anticipation of "what's next" that's for entertainment purposes. Dull life, huh?

Not sure I want to know whats next. I shoveled 12 piles of bear scat out of me and my neighbors yard today. Ugh.

It's all outside. If I had like a frame of sorts, I could use a cable, rope, whatever and just throw it over the frame right over the well and pull it out with the tractor. But of course, I don't have anything like that and it's the worst time of the month for it to happen, of course.

I cannot remember if it's rigid pipe or "what" it is. I was hoping maybe it over heated and maybe turning it off for a spell and letting it cool might do it. No go.

We actually had a power surge earlier and that's about the time it went out. When the power went off and them came back on I bet that got the pump.
Call your home owners insurance agent and tell them that the pump failed due to a power surge, maybe you'll get lucky.
A good friend is a full time well Guy here in MO his going rate to pull and replace a 1/2 hp well pump is $1500 to $2000

I have a claim in, but they will deny it. It didn't even cost the deductible.
