I was "Johnny on the spot" last week when Corsair posted on Facebook that they had a few of these bottles available. It's a pot distilled single barrel at 105 proof. I like Corsair and what they do. I toured their distillery while I was in Nashville a month or so ago and for a small craft distillery they got it goin'. They use malted rye and chocolate rye in the mash bill so it converts itself to fermentable sugars without using regular malted barley. (bourbons are usually corn, rye or wheat, and malted barley) The rye spice is mild and gives it a cereal grain taste and the chocolate is subtle but you can taste it from the first of the sip to 5 min. after. No burn just a gentle warming and the black pepper sensation you get with a rye. It is fun and different but a smooth sipper. THe age statement is just 2 years but they maturate in small barrels so it is equal to a 4 year Rye or so. Good thing I bought 2 bottles. Cheers

I'm changing the World... one pixel at a time!
Good evening gents! It has been a long week of meetings and deal making, so I have been decompressing in the evenings by making a metal sculpture out of old hardware odds and ends.
I call the creation “Henry” and he started as a couple of bench hinges bolted together and screwed down on a piece of scrap wood. He stands about 18” tall.
He then got his head and neck from an old plastic Easter egg, a machine screw and some vacuum tubing.
Then an old exterior light mounting bracket cut, bent and painted became his shoulders and rib cage.
A couple of wire looms, some machine screws and he now has articulated shoulders. He can raise his upper arms 45* to the side and swing them 180* front to back. Everything is made so that once it is moved into a position, it stays there. All the bright hardware will be replaced with appropriate size black hardware once all the parts are worked out.
I am now having a few cold beers on this nice cool Fall evening and pondering how to complete the arms next.

Ok that is pretty cool Dave, I had a guest in the shop and he loved the windmill poster. He inquired as to price? I told him I would check. If you are still doing that kind of stuff what would approx delivered price be to Fargo for another one?

Couple more Octoberfest beers. Got a 12 of the cheepest one the had -Genesee. And a 16oz of the most expensive ($3.50 for a single). Both good. Enjoying this right now…
Speaking of Octoberfest, I need to get busy brewing some or October will be over. LOL
I'm trying as many as I can. Although they are generally very similar. So far of the 4 I had this year, I would say the color varied more than the taste. lol

Well, Henry got his arms today.
He was so happy about it that he volunteered to become the new pencil holder in my office. Gotta love a self-motivated member of the staff! LOL!

Drunk man joins search party to find himself
A Turkish man who got drunk and wandered into the forest later unknowingly joined a search party to find himself, according to bizarre local reports.
Beyhan Mutlu, 50, who lives in the northwestern Bursa province, was reported missing Tuesday after he wandered away from his friends, the Daily Sabah reported.
A search operation was formed to find him. Mutlu joined a group of volunteers not realizing he was the person they were searching for, according to the outlet.
At some point, volunteers began shouting his name. Mutlu became confused and asked who they were looking for, Turkish channel news channel NTV reported. "I am here," he reportedly told them.
Police realized the man they were looking for had joined his own search party and gave him a ride home.
