Has anybody weighed their 65 Barracuda with a 360 and A833 4 speed?

I haven't weighed all combinations, but, one of my '66's with a small block, 833, buckets, console, 8 3/4, disc brakes, undercoated, and the later 14" rally wheels weighed right around 3200lbs with a fairly full tank of gas, and me not in it.
Looking at recorded weights, seems the base curb weight is 3,030 (Hemmings) and about a 25 pound weight difference between the 273 and 360 (Hughes Engines).
Not sure what the weight difference would be between the 3 and 4 speeds.... 4 speed at about 125lbs maybe 50 pounds(?)
That brings you around 100 pounds over base curb....then tires/wheels....
Interesting thought experiment short of rolling up to the local waste transfer station and getting on the scale

Based on the car magazines back in the day - 1st gen Barracuda weights was all over the place.
Slant 6 auto has a ship weight of 2800 and curb weight of 2943 and a 273 auto has a ship weight of 2930 and curb weight of 3097 (most common numbers).
1965 Road & Track has a Formula S with manual trans with curb weight of 3200 pounds and with auto trans 3155 pounds for curb weight.
Weight distribution is listed as 57F/43R
My 1966 with a 408 (with weight savings), 904 tranny, 8 3/4 rear and larger tires/wheels came in at 3160 pounds

End all guess work- take your car to a truck scale or landscape supply and weigh it.
I have a roll bar and sub frame connectors. Probably add at least another 100 lbs. Oh, and a scatter shield! A few more pounds. I will weigh it when I get it together. Thanks for the info.

Well....a buddy's car which is a 72 Demon with no undercoating but has bucket seats and console was 2950.....also had no AC or heater core but that was about it. Got to weigh each car to see what they are. My buddy's car kind of pissed me off after all the work I did to my 66 Belvedere 2dr post and got it down to 2950 and he didn't do anything like I did lol

Back seat is almost 80lbs, I replaced mine with one from a 2001 Honda prelude it weighted less than 10lbs, saved the old seat of corse.
About 1970 or so, with a full tank of gas, but no driver, my 65 Barracuda, Commando 273 4-speed, 13 inch wheels, HD suspension with front sway bar, manual steering, power brakes, factory single exhaust and 7 1/4 rear, weighed 3175.
Today, 340 4-speed, 340 aluminum bellhousing, 30 lb steel flywheel, aluminum heads and intake, 15 inch Cragars, manual steering and brakes, rear sway bar, TTI headers and 2.5 inch dual exhaust, 8 3/4 rear, weighs 3300 lbs - again with a full tank of gas and no driver. Extra weight being primarily the bigger wheels/tires, rear sway bar, 8 3/4 rear end and dual exhaust being only partially offset by the aluminum heads and intake.
My old 66 Barracuda, slant six automatic weighed 3,000 lbs with full gas tank and no driver. My old 65 Valiant 100 2dr sedan, slant six, 4-speed, 7 1/4 rear, weighed 2850. Both of these cars were manual steering and brakes.
Gasoline weighs 6-7 lbs per gallon, so subtract 50 lbs or so for having half a tank instead of full.
Agree with 66jim above that the early Barracuda's back seat weighs 70-80 lbs. Each front bucket seat weighs 50 lbs. Power steering adds 40 lbs, power brakes about ten. The Barracuda's rear glass and bracing for having no package tray adds weight, which is why an early Barracuda is maybe 150 lbs heavier than an early Valiant, all other things being equal.
