I remember you guys in the RV, that was tough especially for 18 months.
Thanks but we didn't have to deal with anything but slow contractors during the build. You had all the crazy and were super busy/involved so I'm sure it will feel great to move in!
I lived in a Conex box twice for a year, I don't mind as long as I have a place to sleep.
I was lucky with hot water most of the time and hot chow.
I knew others had it worse than I did so I was good with what I had.

Think the worst was three months in a Coleman 2 man tent. That sucked.
There is ABSOLUTELY nothing better than 34 degrees (F), raining/sleeting and that trail of water running down your back and filling up your boots... NOTHING.

I remember Infantry Officer Basic Course at Ft Benning in January. Once we were out in the field for two weeks with the Rangers. It rained the entire time, temps in the upper 30's low 40's. The guys from the sunny states had never been that cold and had a really hard time. It was tough, especially on the last day when we did our water survival test. In and out of the water three times, standing for a couple hours. A lot of guys ended up in the hospital, the company commander got relieved.
