Primary use for my car will be a driver/street car as well. I’m running a 5 speed, the first gear is low enough that running 2.76’s is equivalent to running a 9.04 with 4.10s. I prefer a decent lope but performance is more important.
If you're daily driving it, don't go much over 220 on duration I think you'll be happy there. Remember they had teeny cams to start with.

With your combo I’d probably go with the larger cam, could always add Rhoads roller lifters and get best of both worlds.

I looked up the cams on Hi-potek and this one here looks to be the closest to the 224/244, 110, .512 that trailbeast mentioned. Hi-potek recommends 9.5-10:1 compression with it. I’ll be running the thinnest head gasket I can when I install the heads and I guess I believe the heads are “supposed” to be 58cc heads. Think that’d work alright?

I'd call them & ask how it would work, 5.9 mag is 9 to 1 ?
 
I use to run a 238 at .050 with a 400 bb with way less compression & it ran fine. I think you'll be fine.
Just make sure the valve springs are set up correctly. Also go check out Hughes engines website. They do lots of magnum stuff

Yep, I run those on my pick up. Sounds more like a solid lifter but much better than the wimp stockers

Who built this engine? IMM Eninges? The power was similar to my engine built by IMM Engines. Mine is an LA block with EQ Magnum heads though and a XE268H cam.
 
I would have liked to seen a 52mm/bored throttle body run with the factory keg .

Engine Masters on MotorTrend+ did a Magnum test using Richard's crate motor with the aftermarket cam. It started with the stock BB intake, then a modified BB intake, then an oval TB from UTAwsome, then the MP dual plane, then a Edelbrock RPM and finished up with a couple of carb spacers.

That was a good episode with a lot of useful stuff in it. I hope Richard is not far from doing a Big Bang Magnum.
 
Seemed like the Edelbrock was to way to go for power. Lots more power then the BB efi.
