Or Wells Fargo. Ya know those fake accounts they started for their existing clients and charged them fees for having them? I was one of them. I got 1 statement in the mail and next chance I got I was at the local branch is this? They got in big big trouble with the Feds over that. All banks are regulated...I'd not lose sleep over it. Cant be worse than BofA

Sure to be a target fixed directly on those ......"financial build back better" can't be far off .......God help this Rebublic.....I was with one bank
Which got bought out
Then that one got bought out
Each time that happened I had to get all my automated bill payments and transfers changed over
So the second time it happened I said adios and moved all my moneys to my credit union
My "Wells Fargo" story and why I'm so sensitive
At some point decades ago WF was involved with my house loan. For some reason I banked there. When I first bought my 67, I bought a bunch of stuff from Jeggs/ Summit, etc, and charged to the WF card. As I had an online login, I quickly, within a few days of receipt of the goods, paid it off---I did not want to top out the card
Bear in mind I'd had "normal use" and late a few times, but paid, and it was mostly "down to zero."
So I got this letter, and I don't remember the wording, In a bunch of roundabout wording it basically said that I could not buys stuff and then pay it off as I had
I ACTUALLY WENT to the bank for an explanation, and the local bank officers COULD NOT EXPLAIN IT
What one finally told me was "we don't know why, but I'd guess if you do this again, they will close the card account."
SO I WENT TO THE TELLER AND CLOSED MY ACCOUNTS WITH THEM
That is the part I don't understand, Rob. I was paying it off at the billing time WITH NO INTEREST anyhow, so what difference did it make if I payed it early? To this day nobody has ;explained their "threatened" actions. It was soo after that that federally WF got into a bunch of griefIn other words, if they couldn't make interest, they didn't want you using the card. LOL What a bunch of crooks.
The main reason I have credit (AND debit) is emergencies an egag. I don't want most people accessing my checking account. In fact I have TWO checking accounts, and only use the debit card "mostly" from the "tight" checking/ debitF Home Depot....Their card (whomever runs it at 18% APR) dinged my credit 100 points (!) when I missed a $7 payment...no F'n joke. It had a balance of $40 on it and it was the only card I didn't have auto pay on . Well, the $7 bill got looked over in the junk mail and lapsed 1 month (45 days actually) and I get an Email saying you missed a payment and it has been sent to collections. Are you F'n kidding me? I wrote a check for $40 that day and sent it and closed that account. Its all ATM card debit now. If I cant afford it, I dont buy it....emergency situations exempt.
