What’s it worth? I want to offer a good price.
This cream puff has a slant 6 with 73,000 miles, it’s been in this guy’s family since his grandmother bought it in 71. Garaged and never been stored outside. The brake lines were replaced several years ago. Still has the original am radio and factory installed air. I haven’t seen it in person yet, only 20 minutes from me. I’ve been wanting a slant 6 A body car for a very long time.

Badass. I don't know. I'm a tightwad. Throw 5K on the hood and see what happens. You know the old saying. Money talks and bullshit walks. Real cashola will make people move something. Cause you're THERE with the money RIGHT NOW.

I was thinking the same thing, it’s Sunday, so I might have to see if they’ll take PayPal. If I can make the deal. I texted him to see about rust.

The rear window would be my concern with the vinyl. $8500 would be my limit. $5k seems like a lowball offer

Crazy world now..... My brother bought an A body just about like that in the mid 90's that was Granny owned and he paid $500.00 for it and it clean except for a few scrapes where she got in a fight with the garage door lol....

If you want it and have the disposable income just make the deal that works and go get it. It's within bike riding distance to go see and pick up so that worth a bit right there....

Waiting on the seller to text back, it just hit the ad last night.

20 minutes away?? No offense but yer texting? I would get off yer arse and talk in person.
$5k to me is lowball as well, but I'm going by pics. If it's as nice as it looks....$6500??

Nice looking ride Car Nut.
What is the asking price?

I just saw a 70 on FBM in similar condition for 13,500 so if you want this car bad enough and its only 20 minutes away you'd best be getting over there asap..........If it meets all your expectations id have 10 large in my pocket and try and get a feeling for what they want........

He listed it at 10PM last night, hopefully I can look at it today. There’s many here that have Church different hours of the day Sunday.

Is the left fender and door a shade off from the 1/4, or is it just the angle and lighting? I know tolerances were all over the map back then, so the left front corner of the hood at the fender compared to the right side with the hood closed may not be an issue, but looks a little off.
$8k asking price? Throw $6500 at it and negotiate from there.

I’d be running right over with money.
I’ll assume he is firm and have the 8 in the pocket but start low of course. Who knows? 8 might be right.
He may sell for less!?!?
Good luck!

He’s asking $8,000 or best offer.
Don't be cheap and just give him the asking price. You'll thank yourself 5 years from now when the money won't mean anything.

You can never over pay, you can only buy too soon. Cars like that are not showing up everyday, anymore.

Here’s where he was talking about the A/C “(would need to be updated with EPA requirements). I love old cars and this is a head turner, but my interests have turned elsewhere. Best way to contact me is text. If you call, leave a message and I’ll get back with you.”

I disagree a little bit here.
An attempt to negotiate can be worth while.
If he is firm, then you have to decide if it is actually worth 8K or not. Based on the photo’s shown, if he was sternly firm on the price, I’d probably pay.

I agree $8,000 seems like a fair price hearing the feedback from you all.

Looks like there’s been 750 eyes looking at the ad.

yeah, the asking price seems very fair
5K is a lowball offer but i think i would do as Rob mentioned

in fact, i was tell the seller id be there right after church
