Stop in for a cup of coffee

I usually do, funny retired and still get up 5-5:30. Raining here off and on for the next two days so gonna have to find something to do inside. There is plenty. Guys building the retaining wall said they'll be working unless there is lighting or it's just plain pouring for extended periods.

They probably figure that the weather will get worse before it gets better this time of year. Hopefully not a lot of peripheral damage from the softer ground.

40s now..supposed to reach 60 today... most importantly, it's forecasted to be sunny

They have the base down back filled with gravel. Lucky for me, the spot's sitting on a limestone shelf. Hopefully the rain wash off doesn't do much and doesn't cause to much of a delay. They still have three more smaller walls to build after this one.

Looks like I get to stand in the rain all day today. Gonna be outside in the mud all day. Plus pouring a dab of concrete, just a couple hundred yards. We are on the edge of covering up the hole we created in the middle of the street for utilities connection. We have had street shutdown for almost two weeks. Wait for it…… waiting on tie in parts from west coast that were promised to deliver three weeks ago. Pix is the hole in middle of street.

Waiting on parts seems to be the theme!

Have a Great Day All! I was supposed to escort the roof crew at a mountain top site, they finally got their trim parts/flashing in (delayed shipping, imagine that). Well, we have weather so at 5 pm they cancelled, will go install a router or do some DC work for a security install in a substation.

This time last year we were already battling snow so every day this month with no snow is a win up here. We typically do Halloween in the snow.
We're usually debating if we're going to have white Christmas or not. Halloween is WAY to early for snow.

But But But the new house will look like a Hallmark card!
Haha I have a 121 yard long driveway. Not looking forward to the snow removal.
Thankfully as the house sits a sunny day will melt it fast according to the neighbors...ya the things I ask them.

Hope you don’t get confused what’s mud mud and what is concrete mud. :rolleyes:Good Morning

Good Morning everyone. Freezing fog this AM. That is always fun. Taking a buddies Gen 2 Hemi block and rotating assembly to a machine shop for fit up after work. Taking it easy today, some bad back pain started yesterday.

Still have tree work and some other trimming and cleanup outside, but switching gears on the project list. Picked up a couple gallons of paint to do living room and hallway. First thing I need to do is find out what caused a spot.. I'm thinking squirrels, but the question is did they drag something in, piss there, die there? Might get up in the 'attic' today and check. Access from garage with a ladder, just need to move some stuff first.

Too long to shovel by hand or even with a walk behind blower. A blower and a cab for your JD tractor.
