GIRLS!!
Now a days, girls are all over the geeks. The figured out geeks make more money generally speaking

001 x=rnd
002 y=rnd
003 p.x,y
004 go to 001
Run
That little bit of code is the basis of LOTS of random number games. Any kind of program that use random anything, uses something like that...I would start using line 10, then 20, and so on, so I could add code in between the existing. Like line 11, 23, and so on...

Turkey day at Mitch's. Just me and Gunner...

Came out in 77 I think.
My wife started out with a Compac Portable. It looked like a portable sewing machine. It had 1 big disc drive and a tiny processor before the 8086 I think.. The screen was a small green screen probably 6" square. It was dos based operating system. I will post a pic if I can find one.

Computing has come a long long way!!! In a short time!!

Holy crap!!! that still works???

Guess it was an upgrade from the old IBM punchcards.

What are you moving to?

Yep, just updated a few components as needed... Power supply, Video card, Hard drive...

It still keeps kickin...

When I first moved back here, I wanted to get a computer for each of us, but they were ending Windows Vista(?) I think it was at the time... I had to wait a month until the new Windows 7 computers came out to buy this one and another identical one to it for my younger son...

What are you moving to?

My new custom built that my younger son and I pieced together...

Large custom tower with lots of slots and fans... Intel 10th gen i7 10700 K processor 8 core with 16 threads, rated at 3.7 GHz regular and can be overclocked to 5.1, currently running around 4.6 - 4.7 without overclocking.... MSI Z590-A PRO motherboard (gaming grade)... 4 x 32 GB DDR4 3600 RAM sticks.... 850 watt gold certified modular power supply... CPU cooler with input and output fans on each side... 1 TB SSD hard drive with a 2 TB regular hard drive for extra storage along with an external 6 TB hard drive for back up.... Two CD/DVD drives I have room for 4 more if needed... And a USB card for more USB inputs standard, 2.0, and 3.0....

This should keep me going for another dozen years (If I live that long...)

230 mm fan in the front and a 140 mm (61.4 cfm) fan in the bottom for intake air...

KIMG2182.JPG

4 x 120 mm fans in the side panel for more intake air (about another 230 CFM)...

KIMG2190.JPG

Two 140 mm fans on the top and one 140 mm fan on the top of the back panel (61.4 cfm each) blowing out exhaust air.... and two fans on the CPU cooler to keep it nice and cool, one pusher and one puller...

KIMG2183.JPG

Here is the CPU cooler fans lit up in blue.... You can only see the one from this angle... Plus you can see the two top fans and top rear panel fans spinning with exhaust air out....

Here's a shot of the front 230 mm fan in red and you can see the bottom fan spinning....

The fans are nice and quiet and running at around 30%....

This is powerful enough to be a server....

Nice build. I haven't had a tower in a number of years as I went to 17" gaming laptops. Much harder to upgrade the laptops if at all but I have to swap my work laptop in and out of the dock to access the monitors and other peripherals....
