Speedmaster sale. It started

Considering a set of BB bare heads to build a torque monster 440+ (maybe 4.15 crank) but I am not sure if the 2.20 valves will be counter productive on a torque build ?

This would be for a motorhome .

Depends on the cam, if you plan to check them ..and if you have parts laying around to implement..what you're doing.
I'd rather buy the good parts and put it together. I don't like mystery valve springs and I prefer to use comp super locks n retainers. That's the best **** comp has besides pro magnum rockers..the cams are 3rd.

I only have my stock X-Heads with comp springs 901-16, which were the recommended springs with the XE268 camshaft, then I have stock rockers and stock rods but the comp cams lifters for the camshaft.

Still dont know about the rockers, they only have the aluminum roller 1.5 or 1.6 rockers in stock (the red and blue ones) and I don't know much on those.

Just check those out and make sure that’s what you want. I don’t think they offer a standard Edelbrock type big block head. I think those are Victor copies.

There's really no sense in going into what their valves and springs are like because they don't have those heads for sale right now they're out of stock. I bought them with valves and springs and retainers and they've been working fine for 2 years.. I practically wasted $95 to have them checked to be told there was nothing wrong with them in the spring rates were super close to what I had already...
Personally I don't like those aluminum rockers whatsoever. They look like the ProForm ones and I ordered those from Summit one time and sent them back the same day...

I had these in my cart from earlier and I just ordered and paid for them. They have the valves, springs and retainers. Unless these are the wrong heads... lol

Total 1092 shipped, they still show in stock on my computer and my phone. Or at least able to be ordered since they are "build to order." Says on my receipt they should ship on 11/26

If that's what you're getting them for you're not going to see much bang for your buck...

Well that makes this an easy desicion then . I really have no business spending the coin right now anyways .
Whew .....

I might have nabbed a couple more intakes, but they were out of what I bought. Guess I'll pass...

What height are the springs installed at?
I wouldn't use 1.6 with those springs.

The CNC heads are 471 each bare, adding intake and exhaust valves brings it to 1014, and I would still have to get springs and retainers... Unless I am missing the sarcasm?

Regarding where the springs are installed at I have no clue lol. I know Tony and I figured that stuff out when he helped me do them but I can barely remember what I ate for dinner yesterday lol.

Any idea if you order the out of stock items if or when you might get them?

Anyone dyno or have any track time with the CN'sleezed versions?
They port it all the way to the 45 seat is what I've noticed.

Man I really hate you guys more now, all this talk about I'm buying this and I'm buying that yes the 190s assembled is the best deal going. I just couldn't pull the trigger when my 170s with a competition valve job run so strong on my 345. but I did have to buy some Harlan sharp knockoffs LOL

How long is the sale, till sunday...?

If you buy under 150.00 will the shipping offset the great deal...?

So buying a few/3 sets of valves @35 a set of 8=105.99...+shipping...

No shipping.

No shipping costs for me.

How much do you need to spend to get a free jacket and hat.

You only get that after the screwing they give you on magnums...comes with a travel size prep h pad. Haha

Could you imagine being the speedmaster sponsored racer....always losing and being made fun of... zip ties on the Driveline at every race and half drank beers tossed at your pinto ... damn.

Any idea what the weight is on the bare cnc alum sb heads? Im contemplating buying a pr and having shipped to a member for reshipping to me in Ontario.
Are they boxed decently?
Thanks
Steve
Speedmaster Promotion

I have a set of these but just the regular bare heads, not the CNC ones. I can get you a weight but not till Sunday, I'm out of town till then. The boxing was marginal but they did arrive unscathed. I got both heads in one box but the inner boxes were a bit ragged.

If I was as “butt-hurt” as you are and lived in California I would be paying them a visit.

Have any of you guys bought the big block aluminum water pump housing from Speedmaster? I'm curious if it has small water passages like a lot oft he other bb aluminum pump housings out there.

We think alike.
Been there...they won't open the doors.

Only by mail are they in business.
Customer support...is Nevada...one time i spoke with the guy in the warehouse who was cool...they must have told him not to answer anymore. Haha
