Best performing non offset Small block Mopar heads

-
if I remember correctly, you were creaming in your jeans about TF’s when they first came out now you are saying they are not super impressive? It was you and that dipstick yellow rose trying to convince me the TF was the head to beat without anyone showing any proof of the heads performance. Strange how people get on the band wagon a push a product that hasn’t been proven. that’s why I stick with W2’s.

I did a search function and it took awhile, but from what I’ve seen, yellow rose never said anything like that. And I haven’t seen where anyone said any stock rocker arm head was better than an offset rocker head. If you have a link to the thread where it was said I’d love to read for myself so I can see the context.

I don't build my own engines for the sole reason that 1 made 786 and the other 976 and those that understand things realize that when you start making power N/A that everything has to be spot on clearances wise and parts selection/assembly wise or you have issues so I would rather stick to what I do that makes me multi six digits a year and then pay an expert or experts to do those things. If i was building worn out junk that I sourced the used parts at a swap meet and knowing going in that it was a very basic run of mill type street/strip build then yes at that point I would do my own.

you aren’t smart and talented enough to do your own. You just flap your gums and talk about how much you make.

I am classy, I was the first guy on here sticking up for the unfounded bashing of the Bloomers because there is soo much hate and animosity on here......but I guess I should understand as I read most the posts and too many on here have to 'get permission ' from the wife first or it takes a year to save up for a set of head studs, lol, whatever do what your gonna do but just don't forget there are reasons that guys like Brett Miller and possibly the Bloomers pick and choose who they do business with.....a lot of 'tools' out there LOL

This site needs an LOL button.

No Prep is for children and ****, I call out the jackoff's...yes, I make a **** ton of money....will not apologize as I earned it and am the straw that stirs the drink in what I do so let the haters hate, John calls his used parts junk and then brags how fast his 2400lb car is.......not that impressed, Smart people have learned over the years what to do themselves and what to leave to expertise......dumbshit's will try themselves.....**** their **** up and cry how they can't afford to fix it......BUY THE BEST CRY ONCE
And the hits just keep on coming! Kudos to you Sir for taking the high road:rofl:

I think everyone needs to step back, calm down and think twice before they post. With all the negativity in the world and anxiety at the moment you would think mopar guys on a mopar site could at least have cordial friendly discussions? This is a hobby/passion last time I checked. All I have to say is Rod is extremely stand up, and has a passion for small blocks. It’s not simply a “business production”. Anyone who really is interested could easily find out details about the heads if they wanted to/were interested. The heads may not be the best “race head” or best “budget bolt on head”. But to me I always rather spend my money with a grassroots guy/passionate enthusiast vs mass production companies. I can respect what goes into it from that perspective. But that is my personal preference. Everyone has their own and we should all respect that, and the fact we all like mopar race cars

Does “rusty old 68cuda416” even have a car? Has anyone ever seen a picture of it at the track? Has anyone ever seen a time slip? Has he ever added any tech to the site?

Personally I would like to see them figure out what the issue was with the original heads (don’t remember hearing what it was). I think we could use all the options out there for sb Mopar heads.

For a rich guy he isn’t very happy but then again most aren’t happy. He got upset that my son wasn’t chasing the rainbow and chose to work as a mechanic with people he likes and races with. He’s happily in love working for his girlfriends dad who needed help. Her dad found him a temporary place to live for 50.00 a week, bought my son a Snap-on tool box, and bought him some tools. He’s not a school trained mechanic but he will make enough money to be happy. Rusty68cuda said he was going down the wrong road. Hmmmm happy or rich.

They never said but I’m betting short side. When you start with the minimum and take more away what do you end up with. I never personally saw one but there are only so many places to remove metal if you don’t gain it by moving the pushrod my best set of Edelbrock heads with a stock pushrod location cc out at 195cc

Speaking of trouble-makers has anyone seen or heard from B3422w5. He finally started a head tech post and then pulled a Houdini and disappeared. Lol

If that’s the case then for these updated ones they would have needed to find castings that hadn’t been ported yet. I can’t imagine they would have welded on all the ports to get material back?

If we all had all the money in the world, it would be easy.......to push the EASY BUTTON..........But then would we need to, or want to, be on this site...?!........
I, my self, have been able to do, try and learn, a lot on this site Because of People Like PBR
So go a head and jump all over PBR and other here. It Won't make me think any less of PBR..:poke:.......Just saying.........

I can absolutely agree with this but buy the best YOU CAN AFFORD, even with as much money as you make I'm sure you have your limits. I think it's more the delivery that you could work on. But hey, if you are happy with the way you come across then who is anybody to tell you your wrong.
I would never claim to be eloquent, lol

Wasn't trying to convince anybody about PBR, and I already said I will never make any excuses for my hard earned success and with that said there are things that I am interested in learning and things that I know would be better off leaving to a professional.......perfect example would be who on here can develop and build from essentially scratch a 1000hp N/A small block mopar engine THAT LIVES WITHOUT ISSUES? I will wait............

that’s not the way I took it. As often as they were injected into every head post I figured they would be out and about any time now.
Exactly! Bingo - Thank You!

I'm pretty sure Brett Miller was the man behind the first run of these that failed 3-4 years ago.
Yes sir. It was his porting that they later put into a CNC program.

HERE HERE!
I don’t remember what the issue was ether but I do remember Mr. B as more than just a stand up guy as he went above and beyond the call of what was needed to be done to a new level.

You yourself cannot develop and build a 1000hp N/A small block mopar engine John and Brett has proved you wrong in your knowledge many times over the years as I have read the interaction. NOBODY CAN DO EVERYTHING WELL and those of us that realize that are better off and money ahead than those that don't.......kinda like one day I will read your post about how your son has left the general auto repair job for something that pays a lot better wage for far less effort......JUST REMEMBER I TRIED TO CONVINCE THROUGH MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND WAS LAUGHED AT so in the end when that happens I will have the last laugh as I will just sit back and shake my head.......

I have 9 cars if you want an exact count and my barracuda has run a best of 5.78 at 120 in the 1/8th with a 1.28 60' if memory serves correct. I don't need to add tech, most of what I know is already known and or understood by many on here, I come here to look for parts and or deals and also sometimes there is some posts interesting to read. I am not an *** kisser and am not bothered one bit if nobody on here likes me.....that wasn't the intent of coming here and to date I haven't met any of you in person that is commenting in thi post and my life is still quite good so i'm okay with it all.

His double redundancy with sentence structure shows he's not very intelligent, too.

But he makes "multi six digits".
Wow Rusty now you kinda make me feel bad about my kindness to your financial woes when I gave you for free that slant 6 fuel pump since you said you had to wait until next months check to be able to pay for it, and yes you offered but I had no use for it and I thought considering your situation it was the right thing to do......THANKS FOR RUINING ANY ACTS OF KINDNESS THAT I MAY HAVE SHOWN SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FUTURE.

Your sooooo naive of the cruel ways of the world........again it's with your smart *** comments that I will be laughing when his girlfriend leaves him for someone whose W2 is more that 26,000 dollars a year. I tried to help is all I can say.....

Well John, in the other head post Don brought up the new Bloomer head and took some heat for hijacking and was told to start his own post. He did and the same internet experts and keyboard warriors dog piled him, again. He passed along what he knows about the heads, which by the way is the same thing he told me in September at the Moparty. People can think what they want but Don is a stand up guy. I’ll take his advice and opinions before most on this site.

Anyone that has ever sniffed around in the big hp world of small blocks knows of and respects Brett Miller. Anyone who can make 1000-1100 reliable n/a hp with sb has my respect. I asked Brett to port my Indy heads, he politely declined as his plate was full. On my 434 build he spent a lot of time on the phone allowing me to pick his brain and offering advice, knowing all the time I wasn’t spending a dime with him.

Don and Brett are both good guys.
