I don't know if any of you watched the Macys parade Thursday. Wife is no doubt in the kitchen so I watch the parade and call out the floats, characters, bands, etc... She will glance at the TV when she can. Junior is here and asked her what he can do to help, so she puts him to giving the floors a quick vacuum. So vacuum is running, I can't hear the commentators, and a float character I didn't recognize appears on screen. I ask what/who is that? Junior turns the vacuum off and says, "Dont know. Must be from a video game or something". Then a Star Wars like spaceship comes down, hoovers, grabs the float and speeds away with whatever it was in tow. Place mind blown emoji here LOL. Wife missed it due to a bathroom break.
An hour later, us males are sitting out in the sunshine (another beautiful Thanksgiving day in slabtown. I fire up my propane deep fryer to do the fried okra. A bit of a tradition here, how I get us away from the hen session going on indoors). Last menu item to cook, works great. Never any leftover. Anyway... Junior and I start telling my brother and others what we witnessed during the parade broadcast. My brother asked, "What were yall smoking?". LOL
Since I have not been able to find it on Youtube or anywhere online so I can show it to those who missed it... I'm now wondering, what we were smoking? I've tried several different search terms.
That wasn't the only CGI I saw during the parade. It's definitely not the most important part for me and never will be. I have always appreciated every aspect of the parade production, from marching bands, to float builders, and even the commentators who are working on Thanksgiving day. Long live Macys and American tradition.

Didn't get any actual 'work' done today. More like equipment maintenance day. Opened the top of my stove and decided it was time for a new catalyst, insulator and temp probe. Got them on order. I did a little bit of cleanup including a couple of the pipes that connect it to the chimney. Will need to replace one section of that as well. Next was put the new plug and chain on my saw and gave it a test start.So, that is ready to go. Last but not least I put the new rubber blades and scraper on my snowblower. Slight screwup on the parts order though. The belt I got looks like right length, but not as wide as it should be. Old one is still pretty good, so might just put it back on if I can't find another locally.

I think I’ve never been this excited to see Monday coming. Rough holiday week. Ready for a new start
 
Hey Mike. Think that 8 1/4 thread saved rusty some *** pain on the carrier break at 2.45. We really need to clean that up one of these years!

yep, I am glad I stayed high with 2.78 .. those 8 1/4 carrier housings can be confusing
 
Some of the stuff that comes up in searches are fun. Like that, coloring books, etc etc, seen some crazy stuffmopar made.

Yes, I've been watching the promotional and racing windbreakers and jackets... they're pretty cool. I bid on one but it eventually went for over $800 on eBay. That's ridiculous
 
Wolfie gave me a cool car jacket with Ray and the mopar symble on the front and I think East Coast cruser on the back have to get pics.
