"the pro touring look"

I like some of the pro touring stuff. Most of it I've seen on this site is very cool.....but there's also some so over the top, you may as well paint "GAY" on the driver door in big letters.

Fronts have a 6.25" backspace and the rears have a 5.25" backspace. Wish I would have gone with a little more space as the rears rub on the big bumps, but not much. Another 1/8" would be perfect.

Brakes are Dr Diff's Viper caliper setup with 13" rotors.

Good to here that setup works with the ET rims. I talked to ET at a show a while back and said sometime Brembo’s often are wider than Wilwood’s so he said to check in advance.

How close is the caliper to the rim?

Do you think the Dr Diff setup moved the rim surface out any from a normal LBP 73-76 Disk swap setup ??

The 13” DoctorDiff kits widen the track width about 3/16”, or about 5mm per side. The Viper kit uses the same hubs as the 13” cobra kit.

Pretty sure the outer face on the hubs is in exactly the same place as the 73+ disks, but the floating rotor in those kits adds the thickness to the track.

Cool, there are plenty of threads here about boring, stock cars that handle like shopping carts. Maybe go read some of those instead.

I would like to get as much front face on the front rim (deeper look).

I like the look he has on the rear with the 18x9.5 with 5.25” backspace. It’s really tough to pull that off in the front though.

Totally agree.

Just depends on how crazy you want to get with the front tires or how much you want to push the fenders out. But on your car I don't think you'd have a problem based on the combo you have on there now and the fact that you've already worked the fenders.

Do you still have 245/50/15's with a 15x9 and 4 1/8" backspace? If that's what you have now you could totally run 18x9.5's with a 5.25" backspace and 275/35/18's, even with the 13" DoctorDiff brakes. Your distance to the fender would actually almost the same as your current set up. The only wildcard is that a 275/35/18 is taller by about an inch, so, your clearance to the corners of your fender openings would change and on a Barracuda that can be an issue. But I know you've modified your fenders already, so it might not come up.

I’ve got plenty of room on front bottom lip with it bent 3” back.

If I can run 18x9.5 with 5.25” backspacing on front…. Then I’d try 18x10.5 with 6.25” backspacing. So same front side depth, just wider rim… and wider tire.

What’s available in 295/35/18 to 305/35/18 ?? :D

People ask me “what color are you painting it?” Or “when are you painting it?” Well, I’m not. Why? It’s my daily driver and I can drive it wherever, whenever and enjoy it! If a kid throws a door open and dings it, I don’t care! :D

Plenty of caliper clearance, probably about 3/8" before any contact. When I ordered I was asked about the clearance, the 17's and cast 18" have about 1.45" max clearance so those might not work but the custom 2 piece ones have 1.75" of clearance.

Got a similar thing going on to @75slant6 's ride, only pics I have at the moment besides the avatar are from the track lol.

The wheels were more for function than style for me tbh but I'm really happy with the way it turned out and it draws a lot of attention on the street which I'm not really used to lol. They're 'OE replicas' I guess you could say of the Ford Mustang "FR500" style, 18x9 front and 18x10 rear.
