/6 to magnum mount options

Just get it all in and leveled , trans mounted to cross member... then weld some square tube with plates. Use you imagination.

I used the mounts off my 360 on my '99 magnum, with a V8 k frame. Do all magnums have both the truck and passcar mounts?

Yes I searched before posting this.

I didn't search this particular topic I'm asking about, but I did find a February '92 copy of Genesis adult reading material for sale online.

Yeah I bought it
I am pretty sure the first run Magnum engines did not have the truck mounting bosses in the block, only the old style LA mounts. But all later Magnum engines from the trucks people call "first gen" from 1994 on do have the truck bosses because that is what they used.
I have a 1993 D250 truck with it's original 5.9 Magnum engine still in place, and I know the history of this truck. I will have to double check it to be certain, but I am pretty sure it only has the old LA style lugs. It will be at least this weekend before I can check it.

Just did some checking in the parts catalogs, and it looks like you're right- '93 (first year for 5.9, second year for 5.2) fullsize pickup and van was still using the biscuit style LA mounts, which makes sense- why change it when the platform is getting updated the following year. I would venture to guess that the truck mounts are still there, since the Magnum mount lugs were already being used on Dakotas (at least the 2wd ones- looks like 4wd used the LA mounts on the Magnums, too). '94s appear to have gone to the Magnum mounts across the board.
Learn something new every day.

i have a complete 96 360,trans and wiring harness in my big garage. if snow ain't azzhole deep tomorrow, i will get a pic of it.

checked my 96 and 98 magnums and both have the 93 down mounts lugs.
Pretty sure all Magnum blocks have LA lugs or ears still on them. Never seen one without them.
Very early blocks, like 92 and 93 model years, are the ones that have LA lugs but lack the later Magnum truck bosses.

Got a bunch of snow here but I will still try to get pictures this weekend.

Like I said, the early Magnums do have the truck mounts- they were being used to mount 5.2s into 2wd Dakotas, '92-'93. Both styles were used from the beginning, have never seen a Magnum without provisions for both.

Magnums in '92 were 5.2 only, 5.9 came in '93. The 360 roller LA was still in use in '92 when the 5.2 Magnum debuted.

Looks like the 5.9 Magnum in this 93 D200 truck does have newer style bosses, but they are not all drilled and tapped. I completely forgot they were on that block.

I pulled a 5.9 from a 1994 B350 van and it was using the biscuit mounts. Like others have said, the block has LA style ears and the bosses for the othe type of mounts.
