As I threw some names to a guy in Ontario, and he didn’t know any of them, so here goes a Yankee’s look at the best Canadian drivers
1 Gilles Villeneuve ( God like status in Quebec)
2 Jacques Villeneive, usually a jerk but a fair wheel man
3 Paul Tracy, see above
4 Scott Goodyear, oh so close
The door slammers
1 Richard Spenard (old info)
2 Ron Fellows see above
3 Scott Maxwell

i always thought villenueve was french
(not like there is much difference)

didnt even know there were 2 of em either

Some good choices there, though I don't follow the Cascar series, or whatever it's called now, I am familiar with most of the names on the list.
As for the Villeneuves, they are father and son, originally from Quebec, the younger one has raced pretty much anything that has an engine. He is or was among the top snowmobile racers in Canada for years.

The story I was told Gilles hocked the trailer his family was living in to get a snowmobile ride, luckily he won

frenchmen are notorious for being jackrabbits to foreigners who dont speak "proper" french
That may be so, but my experience in Quebec is exactly the opposite. I wish they had bilingual road signs though.

The two American drivers I can't stand is the Andretti boys. If the two are racing together Mario will cut people off so Michael Andretti can win or visa versa... That's just dirty pool

Many years ago my mom and dad had been to the east coast and they stopped at a restaurant someplace near Quebec City. They heard the waitress taking the orders of two Quebecers in perfect English. She came to mom and dads table and they still had a bit of a UK English and the ***** wouldn't even speak English so mom and dad got up and walked out. There are some real militant asshole down there.

Exit 23 needs translating ? Lol
And this is helpful to you in bumper to bumper at 70 mph? Yeh, right.

And this deals with Canadian racers how

The Québécois are notorious for being prickly, been going to MTL for the GP, never had a problem

As usual this has gone of the rails
Honorable mention
1 Claude Bourbonnais
2 Stephane Proulx

Senior Division
George Eaton

You know I am taking some flack here , but not getting any help from you Canadians , two wheelers, straight liners?

Last time I was in Quebec I found that if you try to speak French the attitude changes.
