I have bought all mine through Home Depot, only because they do not have
a store local to me. I bought the M18 Fuel units, and they have been great!
I purchased them online and was free shipping to the house. If you use a 1/2"
impact a lot, buy the BRUSHLESS one, a little more cash, but should last you
a lifetime. Good luck wherever you buy from.

Altho I don't have Milwaukee, or a 1/2" cordless, I went Ridgid. They offer free lifetime service and warranty on ALL Ridgid cordless. No brainer for me....I have a bunch of their stuff now, just bought a 7 1/4 circular cordless circ saw. $200 Cdn all in delivered with a 4ah battery and charger. I have their sawzall, drill, 1/4" impact and handheld wet/dry vacuum.
Just my 2 cents.

I’m a mechanic, the brushless 1/2 in impact is the best tool I have purchased in 30 years well worth the money . Huge power !

I dont like the weight of those impacts. Have to agree on the power though.

Agree a little heavy , but never met a mechanic with weak wrists :)
My problem is tendonitis. It's nice to have options. I love the IR composite titanium for every day use. Don't always need all of that power. But I digress. :soapbox:

Got my saw delivered(free) last week. This should be a great tool. Has dustless port attachment. Gotta register each individual piece for the warranty. Pain in the arse but worth the hassle.
One thing I dont like is the plastic blade guard...

I do alot of scrap processing for charity.

I run a Milwaukee M18 sawsall.
I got a pack of two batteries from Amazon and they don't hold a charge worth a crap.
I just picked up the 8ah battery from home Depot today.

I also picked up the milwaukee 1/2 impact for stubborn nuts. That thing has POWER!! It helped break loose some big 1 1/4 bolts that my scrawny arms couldn't without a 8 foot long cheater bar ;-)

I also have a DeWalt 20v cordless drill I use for disassembly of washer dryers etc. Mainly small screws and nuts.

I had a 1 5/16 crank bolt on my 72 Mazda motor. Thing was ON THERE! I tried a 28" breaker bar on it (block was on a dolley) and I could not get the leverage. Borrowed my neighbors pneumatic 1/2 impact and 3 seconds that thing was off. Those impacts are amazing.

In 3 years I've burnt up 2 of the 1/2" fuel impacts with the 9.0 battery they work great when they do but i rely heavily on my power tools so they get used to there limits on heavy equipment. They aren't indestructible thats for sure. The new 20v dewalt stuff is really good to

In the milwaukee line its brush<brushless<fuel. I have yet to be upset with any fuel milwaukee tool. All my yard stuff (outside of the tractor) is milwaukee and i've used my air tools less and less. Their die grinders are awesome as well.

I use home Depot. Every once in a while, I get promotional coupons in email or mail. Just recently got $25 off $150 min so I bought the M18 die grinder which is $219.00. It's a beast! Love it and recommend it!

I went with Milwaukee as well. have the circular saw, reciprocating saw and drill only but want to get their impact. I've been using them for years and M18 batteries charge quick and last a good while. I've only ever had an issue with the reciprocating saw and had to return it for another. The issue was with the trigger switch... I guess it burned and had to Eff with it to get working, I got fed up and returned it for another. no issues with the replacement.
