LS powered Duster, Abomination or Go For it!

If you're a real Mopar guy don't do it! If you really don't care about Mopar heritage and that most DieHard Mopar fans will turn there nose up at it then go for it Johnny you should be able to use any bathroom you identify with LOL:rolleyes:

Well a few things are clear people with mopars are not accepting of cross dressing ,black engine bays ,is that what I’m getting here:poke:

Or any other car that's painted sublime green, panther Pink, or statutory grape I mean plum crazy.

I'm not all that crazy about them but I see the appeal. They give increased intake clearance while being the most aerodynamic design.
It's not that they don't look good they look great and even look good on some mopars it's just some of us are old school. And I for one a very good with that! It's kind of like be true to your school mentality, cowl hoods were developed on Chevrolets Chevelle's Nova and such they can have them that's cool. six pack hoods, ramcharger hoods etc were Mopar hoods that was our stuff we didn't need no flipping cowl hoods. But I know nowadays everything's just mixed together in a big pot no real lines. But to me It's kind of like our dad saying get a haircut and get a real job!

I keep hearing "cheap" getting thrown around here. I didn't look around too much, but, is there a center sump pan available to put on an LS to clear the A-body steering linkage? If not, then what? Great if your budget allows a tube K member. That in itself is a budget buster for most. Then the infamous header clearance issues with torsion bars, if there is a pan that clears factory steering/K member. Then there's the engine brackets. Now, I KNOW ALL THIS CAN BE FABBED!!! I KNOW THAT'S PART OF HOT RODDING!! Not everyone has that skill set or tools and such to get it done. Sometimes, for some people, it HAS to be bolt in. Jus' sayin'. These points point to keeping it Mopar. Small Block easiest. You could gather up half a dozen 318s and pay pennies for only two of em! Doesn't take much to make them run. Slap on a four barrel, dual exhaust, a 340 cam....... Oh no I didn't!!!!!!

How much is the LS swap beginning to end?...
Looks like no answer here for this maybe the OP has a life lol...
I was just going to give a realistic price comparison of what it would cost to build a reliable comparably horsepower mopar engine...

Whaaa? But, Chargers came from the factory with cowl induction hoods!

2.4 V-tech Honda fits nicely in Dusters. As said, your car, your money, you don't need our permission. Do what ya want. Enjoy :)

A unique Mopar with a fart can exhaust. A pure mutt.
well, i figured anyone that comes to a mopar site and says "shall I LS my Duster?" has already made up their mind and they just want a bunch of controversy/bickering about their project. LOL It's America, put a Power Stroke Diesel in it if they want. :D

I could have swore they made a 2 wheel drive jeep grand cherokee that had a factory roller 5.2 engine and disc brakes all around. Am I dreaming? its 2wd and no one wanted em. wiring. drivetrain. dunno if they are cheap? Id check the cost difference before doing the swap. Having a parts car is nice sometimes.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just put DUSTER emblems on your Malibu??
That would be impala, some have LS’s in them.
Im not against cross-branding a car.make it look like it belongs. And to each his own. If all i had was a chevy engine to stuff in my old dodge truck,i would have done it.
