Stop in for a cup of coffee

Couple units out of storage, a little work in shop, trying to clean up for pulling motor and transmission from Firebird. Owner is under the weather, so no help from him like i was hoping for.

physio today, feel worse walking out.maybe thats a good thing.

Have to go take a look at the riding mower again. More issues.... but that's what I get for buying a used mower. After engaging the deck, the engine dies when you put it in gear. Going to get it lifted up and ensure everything is good under the deck, clean up all the filters and then look at maybe electrical.

I paid a bunch extra for a used John Deere from one of my old JD dealers I sold tools to. It was kind of hand picked by the tech. We talked about my needs and he sold me on the better model with the power steering and power deck lift. Boy I'm glad he did. I have owned it for quite a few years now and changed oil and a couple tires I ruined with roofing nails.

Andy and I got together this afternoon and turn on and compiled our garden seeds seeds to see what we had doubles up and see what we needed. For not comparing notes ahead of time we did pretty good. I just got back from home depot and picked up some Plants. I got tomato cherry tomato, slicing tomato, yellow tomato because they're lower in acid content and Andy gets heartburn when he eats tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, green pepper, dill, kale, and a couple planters and a few more seeds that'll keep me busy for a while.

Dang roofers…

helped a friend do his roof. He told the 2 little girls to pick up any nails they found. 5c apiece. I was giving them each handfuls of nails out of my pouch..

The roofers found out that their magnet on wheels didn't work on copper nails. The guys taking the old roof off quickly started saving them. Tool pouches filled!

City council meeting. Up for discussion is a 4 year contract for our new Police Chief. He is highly educated but is a job hopper. I think his salary is $150,000+ a year plus benefits. This ain't going to be pretty. I have my bourbon handy! LOL

Most likely a fuel delivery problem or just plain old fuel.

Sounds like a sticky political situation.

Just spent 3 hours driving around to various stores to find baby formula. That **** is Unobtainium. Luckily my youngest is all but weened off. Trying to find it for my half sister who just had her first baby 3 weeks ago. Prices have tripled on it too.

I wonder if all them doomsday tinfoil folks that were on that one show are gonna end up being correct in the end.

That's what you get when you buy from overseas because it's more profitable. (not even cheaper for the consumer)

I was just readin' that the formula producer that shut down operations in November is going back online. The Similac people, they had a major recall and had to address the production problems obviously.

Yeah. But that was just the straw that broke it. There’s been a formula supply tightening that actually started pre-covid. It’s why the day I found out we were expecting in 2020, I started buying formula at every grocery run. I’d learned my lesson from the first two. Between my wife’s longer than ever before breastfeeding and my small stock pile, I’ve not had to buy any since my daughter was born in 2021.

and I only went today to help out my half sister, she’s 18 and has a brand new baby. No job, daddy is a douchebag of course, but he’s at least in the picture and helping, but he works as a gas station clerk for 10 bucks an hour. So I figured I’d help out if I could.
