Billy must have gotten out last night and we didn't know it. He's always playing games just to see if he can get out. He gets out and then he'll flop down on the walk and just look at us and he always lets us get him back. I found him in the ditch today when I went to check the mail. He had been hit. Really tough saying goodbye. Kitty is heartbroken.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy.

That's a sad deal. No matter how they go, losing a critter is hard.

Man...I am so sorry to hear this.
We have a neighbor who's orange tabby is our little females brother...and he likes to cross the street and we worry all the time..even going out to running him back home or to our yard. That just sucks...they sometimes just get spooked and instead of knowing their safe on one side... they see the lights and run back across toward home...and that's it. Last week... someone round here... I mean I hope it wasn't another one of her brothers but we found half a cat out on the Greenbelt which is a big parkash area behind our place and Community shares. Coyotes. They're out mid day... we cant let our cat out even without following her...and luckily she stays right around the front n side of the building and when she doesnt see us for a few min
.. she runs home to the stairs and waits.
I'm sure he had a real good life with loving companions such as you and your wife...and thats all a cat could ask for.

Sorry to hear buddy. They are like family members. Had to put our dog down a few months back. They are family.

It must have been a very rough time finding a way to tell your wife...
I've have untold amounts of squirrels that I've removed from around the neighborhood streets so my wife doesn't see them... Or dead birds on the porch from our cat.. that would have her very upset, let alone our cat .
Very sorry for your loss ..:(

Thanks yall. It's especially hard, since we have no friends in people locally. No one ever comes by for a visit. We've jokes with each other that if something happened to us both at the same time, we wouldn't be found for weeks and it's true. My friend Terius would probably be the one to find us. I have a sister 25 minutes away in Macon and they have been out here ONCE in the twenty years we've been out here. We go there several times a year. I'm glad the cats at least love us.
