^^^I still say, there is NO reason our old stock Mopars can not run cool a plenty. When they don't there is a reason!!!!
But the talking heads will tell us how their high HP engines MUST have the cooling fans, 5 core radiators, etc... funny how a 11:1 MW ran cool way back in the day????:BangHead:

I agree! Got the water drained and the coolant back in. Got her back in the shop outta this devilish heat. We may drive her to town after the sun gets low. We'll see. So far, I think it's an improvement.

It did keep my 318 from boiling over. But it was the wrong rad . Also had the wrong fan, spacer, and pulley. I'm slowly getting this together.
Should work well with your slanty.

So far, so good. It's a much better fit, too.

Vixen got her new old tag today. I've had it a while, but we ran it into the government center today to see what it would take to get it registered. Five minutes and zero dollars. Yup. It was FREE. Now Vixen has a matching 64 model tag.

Thats just to cool my friend  I need to check our laws here and see what they say, I have a 1966 Arkansas car plate, I like it

More stuff for the T5 swap. I found a heavy duty, solid finger, nine spring NOS 10" pressure plate that fits the stock 122 tooth 9.5" slant 6 flywheel. I also got a McLeod 10" clutch disc with the correct 1.062" 10 spline input shaft for the T5. Baby steps, but gettin there. I think this may be all of the parts for the swap. It's real close, if not.

I believe you will need special bolts for the pressure plate (smaller heads) like some header bolts.
I have some. They are reduced head pressure plate bolts. They cannot be header bolts. They must have the shoulder on them to locate the pressure plate in the center properly.

To address the clearance issues. I was wrong about the pressure plate bolts. They have the standard 1/2" hex head. But nonetheless, there's plenty of room to get even a thick impact socket on all the bolts, all the way around. The pressure plate has generous scallops that give plenty of room. I've done this in the past a LOT on U Haul trucks when I was a kid. We had their account for maintenance and they always wanted to upgrade to the biggest clutch that'd fit the stock flywheel when it was clutch time. Most of them had the 460 based 370 Lima engines and they'd accept a 11.950 clutch where an 11 was. I think the reason we never had those clearance issues was we also used Borg and Beck branded pressure plates. There are aftermarket versions too and I think that's where you run into issues there. Anyway here's a few pictures. You can see everything will work fine. At any rate, this will give a full 1/2" more disc coverage. That should make a difference especially considering the number of sprAngs in the pressure plate.
