Stop in for a cup of coffee

My daughter sent me this, lost it on way home a couple days ago. Her mechanic pushed all his work back and came to her house to fix it because he knows she's moving. He's done a lot of work for her and good work. That El Camino (79 I think) must have had a terrible prior owner because there's been quite a bit that it's needed. Looking at the "grease" on the right bearing it's pretty easy to figure out what happened to the other one.

Hmmm we have a red setting, a blue setting, a brown setting, but how the hell do we not have a green setting!!!

RACISM!!!

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well. Back close to 90° today but no wind at all right now. Been reading a ton on mechanical fuel injection and how to make it work on the street. I have always been curious about a Hilborn 8 stack or a hat with some pretty rubber lines on a tunnel ram.....Seems the barrel valve is the secret to everything.

Just plain ole Thursday for me. At least until Sept first! Then every day is Saturday. Not totally sure Jodi is on board with my plan tho, with the ever escalating mortgage interest rates I may have to find some kind of gig? We cannot lock in mortgage loan until we have occupancy on new house and get out of construction loan. We are anticipating interest rate over 6 by then. Blew our retirement budget up a bit. Arghh

Just be careful. I almost had a date in January. ALl I had to do was sign the papers. But boy am I glad I didn't follow through with the economy the way it is.

Morning dreamers...yep it is another Saturday. My everyday though is usually busy doing something.
Thought I was going to get my first car show in this Saturday, but plans have changed.
I'd mentioned to a couple people I was looking to sell my John Deere zero turn since I'd bought the Grasshopper mower.
A guy I know called yesterday wanting to buy it. A hard two job working guy putting two daughters through college.
The only day he had free was Saturday afternoon. Ok if that's what it takes to move it, I'll do it.
Plus, since he and his wife are such good hard-working people, their girls such amazing young ladies, we gave him a great deal on the mower.

Holy cow just looked at the weather in New Orleans, 100 degrees on Friday, might melt some fat off of me lol!

Gotta respect that

I dont remember mentioning the car show. Sunday. Was so hot and maybe 20 cars showed up. I do what i always do, pay for the car behind me as we enter the show. $5 is nothing. Some people ***** about having to pay, saying they spent so much on their car. They think the spectators should pay. Wrong. No spectators, no shows. And they spend money on food and drink.
Up here the $5 is to cover insurance and advertising for the most part.

OK totally confused now which 340 mount is the hard to find the small one or the larger one? Way to much conflicting info out there.

Ouch. We’ve gotten screwed on the same thing. But I saw this coming and built it into the budget. My plan is though when rates drop, being prepared refi but I’m also in the process of being debt free minus the wife’s new car by March. So by that token, it’s not gonna matter as much. Plus I fully expect a big recession in the looming months, that will likely change the interests rates backwards by 2024
