67 twin turbo dart

When I had the cam made, it was suppose to be done in the LS firing order, guess the guy at the CNC machine didn't see that note and just saw small block Mopar. So I had the coils and injectors wired to LS firing order, the can ended up being factory Mopar, so I had to rewire it all back to factory. So the dark cylinders they saw weren't rich condition they were firing on the wrong cycle, which explains why the inside of my intake to throttle body was jet black.

Wow! Glad you finally figured this one out. You sure went through a bunch of troubleshooting! Kinda explains the sluggish performance. Small blocks usually run better as an 8 cylinder instead of 6.

Yeah plus its way more efficient lol before I started it I went through the computer again and tested each injector and coil just to verify again that everything now is back to factory Mopar firing order. Will get it all finalized this weekend, maybe even drive it around the block. Have to reseal the right front fitting on the caliper it started to leak a little so off that comes and will seal it up with the good stuff I have for brakes and hydraulic fluid.

Dyno needs to be rescheduled, the tuner had a slight mishap with a table saw and needed surgery, knicked his finger. So he doesn't think getting in and out of a car with a sling on is a good idea lol so will update when we get the new date.

Well that stinks. Hope he’s ok. I was hoping to hear how it went today.

The dart is registered and have plates already, ordered some license frames and I have had before but really suit the car, will say: I know, I know license and registration lol

That’s some super glue and a blue shop towel and back in action, lol.

Now that she's legal for the road going to drive her over to my parents house on the 4th to surprise everyone. Tunes good enough just can't get on it.

Washed up as primer can and cleaned the windows ready for its first real cruise.

Well it went great last night, no issues, need to adjust the headlights up some more were way to far downward lol but temps all stayed great, water 165, oil temp 200, trans barely got hot, only a 8 mile drive. But no issues. My oldest son was along for the ride and loved it. Tune was running more rich go couldnt get on it to bad, but rolled it a little bit and it wanted to go.

Just happened on this thread again after a few years. I was the one who sold the Dart to Louis after the slant six threw the #5 rod and still drove 140 miles before seizing. I put about 5k miles just from that stretch of 101 that runs from Oceanside to SD. I miss that car all the time and if you ever sell it please think of me.

I remeber the first time you posted, I was glad to hear from you. I still have all yoyr records from when you had it serviced, Louis gave me all of it with it. Well if I ever make it down that way with it will let you know and take you for a ride and see what she became.
