What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Slowly getting the front end back together.

Can't be much interest for something this goofy? Maybe I'll just stick with a good 2bbl for my car? Do you think the Salvation Army will take it ?

Got the 4.10 chunk installed. Used my little trans platform I attach to my floor jack to set it on and rolled it right into place. How the heck did I used to lift these things in and out by myself back in the day?????

Then I changed the oil - replacing the filter is always an adventure. Contortionist and someone with a hand smaller than mine would be helpful! Then I had to address a leaking driver side valve cover. Eddie heads and fabricated covers and the thick blue Moroso gasket. Shouldn't leak but it sure dies! Pass side is dry as a bone. Put some black Permatex on it...we shall see.

But while the cover was off, may as well lash the valves since they hadn't been touched in over a year. Most were about 3 thou too loose so tweaked them down. Tomorrow I'll crawl under the car and clean up the mess that valve cover made. Then hope for good weather this weekend to take it to the track. Wonder how that 4.10 will affect the times???? Only one way to find out!!!

Hey your rear rotors have holes in them. They look faulty. You should probably replace them. :poke:

I was just glad to find the car has the bigger 1.5" dia 35-spline Moser axles. Cause the new chunk/spool was set up for that before I knew what was in there. At least that went right!!

Spent today trying to figure out how to mount original seats that I never had. Need to find the right seat rails

I finished up my remote transmission cooler and installed a transmission fluid thermostat for the dash.

Finally done with the alignment. What a PITA but I'm very happy to be over that hurdle... The digital caster/camber gauge verified the readings from the vintage system.

Schooling myself on the rotation of the eccentrics to get the desired result took a while but finally got it down right at the end
.
Tracks straight down the road very nicely I must say

Playing musical cars in the driveway and garage. Had to get the 72 on the trailer to hopefully go racing on Sunday. But rain in forecast so we'll see. Want to see how the new 4.10 axle does.
