dang,.....now I'm hungry for lasagna ..... ravioli ...... and ..

How'd you get ANY tomatoes in Texas this year? We dumped water into ours and still couldn't make 'em produce well!

We can sauce, chunks, & salsa every OTHER year but this one. grrr

I think you tried to start this awhile ago, no? We make all kinds of weird stuff around here, and some of it is pretty darn good. I'll help ya keep it going....

I'll begin by giving GIO's Taxidermy a plug for some pretty awesome deer sausage. They made a breakfast and a quasi-andouille sausage for me last year. The later went into my wife's Jambalaya with some chicken, shrimp, okra, tomatoes, and celery. They are in Nacogdoches.

^^^ S E Texas here. Yes the early heat took a big toll on our garden, specially tomatoes, probably half the usual yield!! They are done, pulled them up last week. We planted a few late tomatoes, more modern heat resistant. They were dead 2 weeks ago!
Even the jalapenos did not do well at all either!
I say stock up on grits and cheese!!!!!

Sounds like y'all need to stop some of them Mexicans crossing the border and get them to show you how to grow stuff in the heat. They gotta have it figured out as hot as it is in Mexico.
